Amazon has the HP X27Q QHD Monitor on sale for 244.99$ as a Black Friday deal. Its 27" with a resolution of 2560x1440 (1440p/2K) and 165hz refresh rate. Uses the same panel as the LG (non-Nano) models and the Dell S2721DGF.

This is not the historical low price for it. Microcenter had it for 230$ back in august.

Excellent monitor.
Picked up 1 from BB after pricing my local MC a few months back and have been very impressed with it on my son's gaming PC.

Bought another today from amazon since this is cheaper than MC currently and BB doesn't PM this week.

May I know where you got the panel information? Displayspecifications.com says it has 8bit color, while the dell s2721dgf has 10bit FRC.
I heard from a source that s2721dgf has nanoIPS panel.
Some differences comparing to other products rumored to have the same panel:
- A hardware anti-blue light layer
- 400nits brightness which seems to be a feature of nanoIPS panels
- only 99% sRGB / 87% DCI-P3, which is weird since these nanoIPS panels usually have 97% or higher PCI-P3

I also got this monitor from Microcenter a couple months ago for $250. It's ok, good picture and brightness, works well w/ Gsync (although it's not "officially" Gsync compatible, likely because VRR is only supported above 55Hz). Downside is that the "Fastest" response time looks like garbage w/ this weird white ghosting

It's an IPS panel which is normally what you'd want for color-critical work. But it's also touted as a "gaming monitor" so I don't know what kind of compromises they've made. I'd stick with Dell Ultrasharp or HP Z-series or something similar.

IPS is a technology that allows you to still see the crisp colors when you look at the display from different angles. Gaming monitors usually aren't IPS, because of faster response times with TN panels. VA panels seem to be a compromise between the two.

There seems to be some confusion on this display, because it's IPS, but also listed as a gaming display.

I'm a big fan of IPS, but I don't value high framerate, personally, for my uses.

Excellent monitor. Felt it was the best value IPS/HZ/QHD 27" monitor, even has basic HDR support. Typing this right now on it, no complaints whatsoever.

Just received the monitor and set it up, pretty good out of the box already. Worth it for $245.
