Most smoke / carbon monoxide detectors have a warranty for 8 years I believe. Mine started beeping 5 times a minute the other day. Called First Alert and got all three replaced for no charge (due to date of manufacturer and date they went bad). Might be worth calling before ordering.

Because my old one from 2013 picked that moment to die and start beeping 5 times every minute to alert me. In my very young child's room. Who decided that 3am was perfect for playtime.

These are made by brk and are very good. Usually a combo smoke co is about 35

Unfortunately the ones I had were made in 2013 only had a 7 year warranty. The ones manufactured in 2016 or later have a 10 year warranty.

I bought six of these to replace the rest of the ones I haven't swapped yet. Thankfully I was able to combine with the Amex 30% off targeted promo and was able to get all six for under $100 combined, including 8.25% sales tax.
