50lbs each would be a better buy for you. 25lbs each is not very much. If you lifted a few times a week routinely… these wouldn't be enough for you after 2 months (curls, shoulder press, bench, etc). 50lbs each would cover you for a good while and be a more versatile set overall.

Got this in-store for $150 this morning. Should've checked Slickdeals first.

Played with it a little, plates are metal and not encased by plastic. No plates stuck to the holder like other brands might and switching is way simpler than powerblocks or even bowflex. I also have the selecttech 552 but these should work great for the girlfriend.

I bought these and then canceled. The reviews are all incentivized except one. I went to the CAP website which is still under construction and the warranty seems to be 30 days which is not acceptable when paying this much (in contrast Bowflex while more expensive is 2 years). My research seems to indicate CAP customer service isn't great either.

As a male, if you plan to do exercises like dumbell bench press or dumbell rows, these will be waaaaay too lite for you or will be in no time.

With that said, I got the Sport 24 Powerblocks for my gf and I still enjoy using them for things like curls, shoulder or tricep exercises.

YMMV but check locally for instore pickup. The same set showed $80 when I added it to my cart for local pickup. I switched to a slightly closer store and it jumped back to $124.

With the code WOWFRESH, I got it down to $70 plus tax at the original store.

I want to chime in as a female that does weight lifting from a home a few times a week, that have 26 pound adjustable dumb bells is great for me. I know that I will never be curling more than 20 and these supplement just about all my workouts. Throw in a kettlebell and you're golden.

If your even a weak guy these are going to be too small. you will grow out of them too quick. I guess if you get that far it was worth it though.

Yes and no. Buying these doesn't mean you'll skip gym obviously as 2 dumbbells doesn't substitute gym. Even as a bigger guy you can do high rep high volume of many bicep, shoulder, tricep, back excercises at home for hypertrophy.

Looks like you can't use WOWFRESH or PAYPAL10 promos on shipped items. This is a great deal if you have local stock. I bought mine for $125 online and Walmart will not price adjust to $110. Looks like I need to return and rebuy.

That's weird. My order is 'shipped to my home'. And I could use PAYPAL10. Although I always use PayPal to pay for my orders (wherever possible including Walmart)...

I bought another pair and will return the original I got in-store on saturday for $150. At $110, it's a significant savings to the original price I bought it at making returning the original worthwhile. Weird, they're no longer available in-store locally so I have to have it delivered (tomorrow).
