Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LMM1148

Leap: $869
Gesture: $969 Now $979

debating between these two.

Also, Leap is starting $881.45 on steelcase.com. I want to add headrest ($176) as an option. So Leap (1057 with headrest on Steelcase) vs. Gesture ($969 with headrest on Amazon). ConfusedConfusedConfused

When I did my cost-benefit analysis on a chair, I considered how much time I'd spend in it. If you work from home and spend 6-10hrs/day sitting in it, spending 2-3X on a comfortable chair is going to be far more worthwhile than most other ways you could spend that money. Me, I like to work almost entirely from my couch, so I skimped on the chair and spent a little extra for a reclining sofa. 😎
I use the Leap at work and loved it so much I convinced my manager to purchase me one for home (as I am doing hybrid work). It's so understated, but the most fantastic feeling chair ever and supports your back well.

I was going to pull the trigger if the Amex $150 was still active, but it's not. How much better might a deal get? I don't know if I can stomach dropping this much on a chair! Frown

Looked at this and compared it to my Quantum 9000 and the 9000 is just overall bigger which seems like it'll suit me better than this

Seems like a good deal if you want the Gesture w/ headrest. Also a bonus that Amazon will accept returns until Jan. 31 compared to a 14-day return if purchased from Steelcase. Anyone know if returns are free with Amazon like they are with Steelcase? I don't see "free returns" on the listing like other products on Amazon.

All "Sold by Amazon.com" products have same return policy?

Any input? Leap (add headrest) or Gesture (come with headrest)?

Thanks

No headrest on my Leap. I normally don't sit back like that on my chair and a headrest would be a waste for me. If you like to sit back a lot, probably spring for one? I also hear good things about the Gesture, but personally have never sat in one.

I just purchased the gesture with headrest from the same listing for the original price a couple weeks ago. I've contacted amazon, and they refuse to do a price adjustment even though my item is well within its return period.

While this item can be returned through January, there appears to be a $75 return fee. This means I would only save about $100 by going through the effort of the return process and repurchasing at the lower price. I haven't decided if I feel like doing that yet.

As far as the chair goes, it's decent but haven't decided yet if it's my forever char. I have the Leap at work (without headrest), and had never tried the gesture before purchasing it. I'm 6'2 and a skinny build. I find that the headrest doesn't seem to be in a great position to be used ever, and is pretty flimsy. I can put my head back on it, but not while I'm looking at my computer screen typically. I also find that the seat pan is at least 3 inches too short, even extended as far as it will go.

I would just keep trying, you will also have better chance with Amazon phone support than chat.
