You mean SN30 Pro or Pro+? The SN30 Pro doesn't have grips, so definitely yes. If you meant Pro+, then not necessarily. The 8bitdo controllers are in general better for 2D games as their d-pad is better and placed at a better position. The Nintendo Switch Pro is more comfortable for 3D games and offers features that 8bitdo controllers don't: HD rumble, amiibo functionality, waking up the console.

Btw, you may be able to get this controller from Walmart for $40 (see different thread), in which case you should.

Try not to buy from GameStop or at least make it your last choice. Their return policy is awful even for accessories, had to travel to 2 different stores to get a refund for a drift joystick controller.

Got it to $37 because I had a $15 cert. I could've gotten it lower but you have to spend $35 for free shipping.

that thread just uses the $10 off $50 walmart pick up order 1st time coupon, which isn't really comparable since you can use that on anything and one time only. It's really $50 at WM as well.

also that requires a WM pickup. this one is shipped.
