These games should way less than this to begin with. If you have been following reviews, its glitched out the kazoo, they also made it so all your pokemon gain experience even if they didn't participate, and its missing content from the original. You're essentially buying a game that is over 10 years old, with less content, and more broken than the original... just my 2 cents

Good deal. About time it can be had equally cheaper online than else where.
I say this because sometimes it a drag to go to Walmart just to save $10 on new releases game.

Do you know if it's still $10 cheaper in store for Walmart?

Anyone want to help a mom out?

My 11 year old loves Pokemon, collects the cards, and we even still play Pokemon Go together. I was planning to buy either Sword or Shield for him for Xmas but now I'm wondering if it would be better to get him this?

Got him Let's Go Eevee last year and he enjoyed it but lost interest relatively quickly.

This is better than Sword/Shield IMO. It's a remake of a classic and well regarded Pokémon game with a decent story. Shield had some okay ideas but overall was pretty gimmicky and unmemorable. I think this is a much more fun game overall, but I'm sure he'd love whatever you get him! 😎

Update: Got the pearl version. Thanks OP
Amazon gave me an extra $15 off because i downloaded amazon app on a new phone for first time. So i got a first time app user credit. Total cost: 49.94 - 15 = $34.94
Good to try for ppl with new phones!

My 2 cents is that you are exaggerating like many others about these games. I haven't played either BD or SP, but I don't think you're right. I've heard about a glitch or two, but I've watched so many reviews and no one spoke of game-breaking glitches. The experience thing is something that seasoned gamers probably won't like, but casuals certainly like it. And less content than the originals? They added some things, probably removed others, but again I didn't hear anyone saying there is a net loss of content, except if you count the Platinum version.

Obviously you have not been reading reviews because there are quite a few people getting soft locked in certain parts of games requiring a full story reset. This is a game for kids, no doubt about it, the reality is though that there is a hugeeee fanbase in their 20s like myself, who grew up on these games and the remakes are garbage. Nintendo is following the footsteps of other developers and half baking games for a cash grab. In the perfect world no one would support this game for that reason alone. My opinion won't stop anyone from buying for their kid, but honestly this is a ripoff for $50. I could even argue that shared exp makes the game 6x shorter than the original if you were to factor in leveling up Pokémon individually to 100 which is what made the game so fun. So everything aside, nostalgia, broken content etc, ask yourself this, is $50 worth a game 6x times shorter than the original?
