I know it's weird to compare electric to gas, but I was looking at the Ego Power+ 650. Which appears to blow harder, anyone know?

I don't have the ego but a 610 cfm greenworks battery one. I also have a 600 cfm corded electric blower. I have to say that the battery blower is good for summertime cleaning but for real serious fall cleanup you can forget it. The corded is more powerful with lower specs and it lasts. I cannot use battery at full power for more than a minute or 2 total. This gas one will probably run circles around both.

I can tell you that I have a huskwana 350 backpack blower and the 80v brushless greenworks from costco and the 80v is actually more powerful! I was happily surprised. But yea, at full power, the battery life on the greenwork is may be 10min so you can't do larger job. Perfect to blow a decks or a front yard. That ryobi for under 150 seems like a great deal. I would get it if I did not just buy that greenworks one.

I'm hesitant to pull the trigger for this reason. Damn liberal politicians in NY already want to ban gas lawn equipments like they do in California

I too have Greenworks Pro Blower and String trimmer bundle that I bought from Costco. Planning to return that and buying this. My Biggest complaint with Greenworks is blower is heavy with the 80V battery and I can't finish the job at one shot (using two 80 V batteries) without a sore arm.

Specs look very good for this price, but durability seems to be an issue with these. Would rather spend more on a quality Husqvarna or Sthil that will last me many years. You really do get what you pay for. There's no escaping that.

I do not have the ego, believe it is 56v?
I have kobalt 80v 630cfm. For fall cleaning I use turbo almost half of the time, on turbo it is as powerful as my handheld gas blower. However, run time on turbo is under 20 m8n for a 2.5AH pack. I have 4 packs and 2 chargers, that allowed me to use turbo however I want.

If you plan to go on cordless for blower, be ready to buy at least 3 batteries for any serious cleaning.

look at cfm and nozzle velocity. if they are close then tough call but higher numbers usually win. I think echo or redmax has 900cfm blower if you really need to move stuff. I would go gas if you are allowed i.e. not California. if you are just blowing few leaves or grass off sidewalks then I am sure any electric will work but battery life is the concern otherwise gas for the win.
