WARNING PSA

Having gone through a literal 6 hour ordeal in my local Walmart store...these are not always shipped properly activated when purchased online. My first order went absolutely fine, but the second turned into a nightmare (AT&T suspended the line after a day, citing a point-of-purchase error). The local store should be able to fix it, however it's not a guarantee (in my case they returned the phone but couldn't resell it to me because their POS wouldn't scan it - wound up having to sell me a new phone from in-store). And because the e-receipt given to you by Walmart doesn't include the IMEI/SN of the phone you won't be able to get it fixed by AT&T.

I was responding to my experience with postpaid and prepaid when you said the portal wasn't working anymore. It is clearly working though but you must fulfill the requirements now. I never fulfilled the requirement for prepaid in the past but I still got it unlocked even on day 1. Everybody knows that at&t got more stricter in their unlock rules compared to a couple years ago.

For cricket unlock rules... Better to contact cricket and talk to cricket rep. Different companies.

I got my t-mobile Samsung A71 5G unlocked in a week with no service at all. T-mobile is good like that. Their 40 day policy isn't always true. This was from the black friday deal last year. I went through facebook chat. Lot of people also went through twitter. I had to talk to quite a few other chat reps but the unlock went through. Some other people got lucky and talked to 1 chat rep and got it unlocked real quick..... This isn't much different than the people who buy the t-mobile OnePlus 8 phone and got it unlocked.

Hands down the best wireless deal if needing 4 or 5 lines. Wish more people ditched MVNOs for this. I do wish the service was better than it is.

Check the thread. Now you have to use the $60x3 months and can't downgrade to the cheaper $30 until you use that up

The iPhone XR deal from Cricket for $230 is a better deal I think. XR is big upgrade from SE, having used both; again IMO.

Thanks for clarifying. This deal is about prepaid so it only pertains to unlocking prepaid phones. Your chiming in about unlocking post paid phones can be confusing.
