Thanks in for 1....since my last one has reached its EOL, which I think is 5 years, and stops working.

This is the lowest price according to CCC.

Hi all, just wanted to comment that although this is a great price I'm not sure how well it will work. Carbon Monoxide is slightly lighter than air and as it's can often come from heat sources will often rise. Typically, it's recommended that carbon monoxide detectors be placed at least 5 feet off the ground and most plugs are low to the ground. Not sure how well this would work to detect dangerous levels.

Ya never heard that, although I understand your logic...but here is mine.

A lot of detectors over the past 25-30 years have been plug-in at receptacle height (about 12-16 inches), and if there was an issue I imagine the lawsuits would be common, and a disclaimer/warning about height restrictions heights noted on the product. I believe if your running forced heat the turbulence is gonna be constantly mixing the air.

I've used about half a dozen of these (also with gas detection) over the years... so far so good.

The plug has a hidden cord so you can plug in low and then mount high on the wall or put on a shelf
