Since the Walmart listing says it supports optical and comes with an optical cable then it should be the TS8132. But about half the reviews say it doesn't have optical, so I guess it's a crap shoot on which one you get. I ordered one for shipping thinking that I might stand a better chance of getting the new model instead of one that's been on the store shelf for a year, but I could be wrong. I didn't feel like driving down there and fighting the crowd to find out which one they had.
The TCL product page is at https://www.tcl.com/us/en/products/sound-bars/alto-8-series/alto-8-plus-3-1-2-channel-sound-bar-ts81... [tcl.com] To further confuse matters near the top of the page it lists optical, but in the Specifications sections it says Optical = NO. The downloadable specs PDF says Yes.
I guess I'll find out in a few days when it arrives, and at least Walmart is easy for returns.

I didn't mean to post so many times but replies weren't showing up and then a few minutes later they all showed up.
Side note - It looks like the deal is now expired, but for what it's worth, I originally bought this sound bar for the $218 price and very much felt it was justified. I just bought another one with this deal-price last week and intend to return the higher-priced original to make up the cost difference.
If this TCL 3.1.2 soundbar is connected to a 2021 Apple TV 4K via HDMI eARC (TV has an eARC too), and in an adjoining room there is a HomePod mini:
Can an ask Siri "play It's a Jolly Christmas" play the audio through both the soundbar and HomePods mini?

FIRST OF ALL Use code WOWFRESH to knock off another $10 but thats YMMV.
To answer some questions:
1. Yes it DOES have optical AND eARC
2. Yes it DOES have an HDMI IN so you don't lose your HDMI input
3. Double check your "CMC" settings on your TV for adjustments to the audio
4. The subwoofer is not "piss your neighbor off" loud. Its pretty small and "cute". Which to me is sort of a benefit, the dog gets freaked out when I turn on the klipsch system upstairs which is "piss off your entire neighborhood" loud. In fact, I think it adds a pretty decent dimension to it, and honestly the bar itself doesn't sound good without it no matter how much you play with settings, but hey, its a sound bar.
5. I didnt know this but my TV had an EQ that it pushed out to ARC so the first time I tried it, I was ready to return it because it sounded like someone yanked up the treble in your car, but after some tweaking on that, it does sound pretty damn good for $148.
6. I couldn't get airplay set up to work on the thing but I set it up with Alexa and joined it to my WIFI and airplay works no problem. Yes it DOES work with Alexa, why you'd want to use it I dont know but still it's there.
FOR $148... you get more than you pay for.
WHY I CHOSE TO KEEP THIS:
- THE LOOK: The bar itself is both wide enough and wrapped all around in fabric so to go with a "minimalist" look where I don't want my aforementioned giant mansplained overcompensating klipsch system to be. IT DOES NOT look like a $148 sound bar. It also comes with the brackets and mount to wall mount if you want. The subwoofer is underwhelming but that was a plus for me and its literally like 4 cables and you're done.
- THE SOUND: I would not recommend using this without the sub. It just... honestly doesnt sound great without it. It does have some GREAT moments when going Dolby but make sure whatever device you have supports it. NO this will not sound like your friend's full ATMOS system with actual rear speakers but they probably paid a SHIT ton for it. The price is the thing. This is priced to be amongst the 2.1's and the 2.0's of the world that are lackluster at best. I would say the Klipsch sound bar for a similar price, is pretty damn good if you're a music person but this is more of a 9 of all trades (notice I didn't say jack). BUT on the grounds IF your budget isn't above $350, your room is smaller than 20x20, and you want a minimalist look, I'd say you'd find it hard to beat this deal at $148 including tax which is what I got it for cause of the aforementioned code.
HOPE THIS HELPS
