I'm looking for a gaming laptop to bring to my g/fs on the weekends 1-2 times a month, and occasionally when I house sit for friends or go on trips.
I already have a good self-built gaming desktop so most games I play on that, this would mainly be for FF14, League, Overwatch, and various Steam co-op games which generally aren't cutting edge.
Also majority of time this would be docked to a Dell docking station with a monitor and KB+Mouse, so don't care as much about the screen and super portability. With that in mind not sure if being docked 90% of the time means something else would be a better option or for the $1200 range this is still a really good buy?
I bought the FHD when it was on sale, but when I got to see this deal, I immediately went to BestBuy and switched to this one due to ghosting, screen response time and better color to make it a well packed laptop
He's not talking about getting the 1.5 hours less of battery life while gaming. He's talking about general use. Obviously no one's comparing better life in terms of gaming unplugged.

Depends on your usecase, the OLED screen will be a lot better and if you play games at 900p your gpu might suffice.
