How much fun you may have to play an amazing set like this?
If my kids do not play with me, I feel boring after I build them up.
The next question is what will you do after you played with it? Place them in a show box? Build ou own city? Resell them online?
Hotstock app maybe?

Also, if something hasn't been played with in a while we disassemble it into ziplocks in reverse directions, another way to learn about construction. And store it back in its box (no display cases) if it was truely a good set, they will remember it and want to build it again down the road!
Ultimately, I hope my kids want to come up with their own creations when they are old enough and that we will have the pieces to do so.

This was our family's first "big set" (bought at full price at LEGOLAND this past May), which set into motion us buying many other $200+ sets lol. Our rationale was that after it was built, once the kid gets bored with it, it would at least be a nice display piece. Get light kits, but be warned they aren't cheap! Our Lego Treehouse currently sits on a table in our upstairs loft, with a light kit. Our kid still plays with it at least once a day for a few minutes, but otherwise a nice display piece as intended. Same thing with Lego Disney Castle+Train, and the Pirate Shipwreck, in different parts of the house. We haven't built the Rollercoaster set, but have a place in mind to keep it up. After that I think we're set for a while because running out of room haha.
