You can upgrade the laptop to wifi 6 but if your network equipment is still running wifi 5 it will still be connected at wifi 5 speeds and you don't get the benefits of the newer technology to help with congestion and interference etc.
on the flip side you can always just upgrade it now to help future-proof the laptop for when your network setup does end up going to wifi 6

Mine also had Windows 11 preinstalled, instead of Windows 10 like the ad stated back then.
There must be some variations out there.

Spent 2 hours each to update OS and remove some bloatware. Overall, imo, the build quality of Lenovo feels more solid than HP's.
