Case in point:
Ordered one item, qty 2, which gave "multibuy discount" of around $25 for both.
When the S&S came in, the multibuy discount had vanished and the items were sold at the then active price (only S&S discount was given).
Amazon stated that the prices had gone up. This was the first time ordering this particular item as S&S, which technically constitutes a legal contract. If this was a repeat on the S&S, there would be no question (yes, prices go up), but as the initial S&S the contract is legally binding. Contemplating complaint to FTC... amazon is already in hot water with them for deceptive ads in search results. Might well add to that.
Needless to say, overall not a happy camper that the items suddenly were such a large amount more. This is esp. irritating, b/c it happened to five different S&S sets (out of more than 20 S&S orders) for the same months, driving up the cost by nearly $100. Amazon upon request did not refund the missing coupons or multibuy discounts.
Yes, gave amazon a single star on the conversation (couldn't give no star or would have).
So... short story, beware of how much you will end up paying for these seemingly cheap items. When your S&S ships, you may be charged far more than you contracted to pay with no recourse.

The subscribe and save is sold to you at a price.... That's it. If the price goes up, you pay the higher price. Subscribe and save is to
give you initial savings and your subscription means it will automatically show up.
You don't know what you are talking about.

I know what amazon charged to the card on file and they are not refunding the difference. On the first one, they honored the S&S. And it did not on this one - esp. the mulitbuy discount.
