Most of my ECB expired 12/13 -managed to roll most of them
Going to finish up on Wednesday

I was using 8/40 and wanted Fancy Feast but first store had only trout and cheese something
2nd store had a seafood one, at least, but not 20 cans I'd need to earn ECB
10/$8 x 2 (or .99 ea), 3ecb wys $15 pet food
There was news about cat food shortages awhile ago -couple of months? - maybe just caught up to CVS

I ended up getting 10 and got the Colgate 7.98 - $7dQ to compensate for the other $8 in cat food I planned in using the 8/40

I'd seen HM jobber when I was in 1st store -which I passed on my way home- so stopped in before they closed and found a bunch of HM .99 New Year cards, which rolled my last expired $3ecb

and also got them on my other card. Couldn't find the Maybelline ornaments in either store so I got 4 x brow 2pk 5.19ea - $5/20 and $4CRTs, paid $15, earned 14 and 3ecb

Now I have to see if I can find 10 more cans of Fancy Feast in an acceptable flavor. I got a 10/70 Sat and again today on that card but I don't see enough more deals to use it with the cat food.
My other card got 4/40 last and again this week. The discount is less but those seem quite do-able.
I have $5/3 Crest/Scope CRT as well as the dQs/mQs. I'm hoping that adding 2 Scope will be sufficient to keep it from marking down when used with 4/40
11.96/4 Crest + 9.58/2 Scope = $21.54 - $5crt - $5dQ - $2dQ - 1(scope)dQ - $2mQ - $1mQ=$5.54, earn 2 x 6ecb

Check your P.O. for small tear pads for Hallmark $1/2 on the counters. They seem to put them out every year. Exp. is 12/24

I did not call anyone a liar, directly or indirectly. I tried the deal. This is my super friendly cashier who would have overridden the CRT if the system gave her the option. I reported my experience.

Please post your receipt, I'd like to see how it was done. Maybe you had the golden ticket CRT that no one else has gotten.

You can, but the item you're getting with the free cosmetic crt has to be in addition to the $16 you're spending to use the $3. So essentially, not what you were trying to accomplish, I think.

woah. Blast from the past.

Microgold pictured above. There is a $2 pdf if you go to the brands website and request it. This was on continual offer earlier in the year and then got spotty this fall. Look for it on a special "covid" small stand or endcap usually near the pharmacy, not with the other cleansers.

Actually, thinking about it, I probably wouldn't use that free cosmetic coupon with any other coupons.

i used it yesterday with a bunch of Neutrogena, the $5 came off first before other CRTs, it only worked b/c all the items I had applied to the other $5 CRTs I had
2 x $10.49 makeup remover sticks
6.79 wipes
- $1 dq
- $5 free cosmetics
- $5/$20 in grace
- $5 neutrogena tinted in grace
- $5 neutrogena tinted new this week
Got back $10 ECB and $6 rebate. All applied fine with this configuration.

I first tried to get 2 lip and a wipes, but the $5 tinted CRTs modified down b/c they do not apply to the lip. The reason the configuration above worked is b/c the $5 tinted CRTs work on the sticks. But I would rather not try to make guesses on how the $5 free cosmetics CRT will work for other products

Thanks! It makes sense why it worked in your scenario. I was trying to clarify my original comment, which suggested it would be just fine as long as LessGreed bought $21 of cosmetics. I've seen enough situations where the outcome wasn't as good as yours, and didn't want to lead someone astray, especially someone who might not have a friendly enough store that would willingly cancel a transaction so she could make it right if things weren't working as she expected.

Yah my first try to use the free crt with the lip was a fail, took me a bit to figure out what would work nicely

My understanding is that if the cheapest cosmetic item in your transaction is $5 or less then it will become free with this crt and so not count towards threshold of 3/16. If cheapest item is $5.01 or more then this crt will deduct $5 and full value will count towards threshold. There may be some quirks if prorating is involved due to multiple crts.

This should be no problem. I have used it on CG serum with other CG crts.
