I'm an avid gamer and I played this once and it's stayed on the shelf since. It has a ticket to ride feel but not as fun. And the whole spectacle of the game is "meh" at best. For comparison we like games like wingspan, 7 wonders, TTR, etc. Great price if it appeals to you though. Never seen it cheaper.
I already played the real life version of this at Zion and RMNP.

It's hard AF. Crowds, refreshing the Recreation.gov app, limited entry times, hiking logistics, cell coverage, Covid…it's intense! Hopefully they captured all of it.
This may not be true for such a busy park as Yellowstone, but I find getting to the park as soon as they open allows you to see a lot more. I got to Mount Rainier so early, and by the time I was already down the mountain the tour busses were just showing up. That set the tone for everything else not being as busy as the busy stuff was all behind me, if that makes sense.

Yeah...but is it actually a fun game? Does it have repeat play appeal?

Based on reviews, it seems mediocre at best.

I dont see this on sale very often, Came to 31.99 pre tax for me. Clip coupon for $3 off. Apply promo code TREKKING20 for another 20% off. This brings it $4 below the all time low reported on amazon.

This is a great game for kids. Our 11yo, 9yo, and 6yo love it, and we play every few weeks. Highly recommend for kids age 6-12.

Lol that's great. GSMNP wasn't bad in October if you hit up the more intense/obscure hikes but the popular ones were jam packed.

Going to Yellowstone in May was like a driving version of all the bad parts of going to Disney. Lines everywhere. I wish I could have enjoyed some of these parks 50 years ago. I can't imagine it getting any better in the future.

I think it is fun. We got it at a Amazon returns store for 5 with a slightly torn box. It is a fun game. Definitely a good pickup at the 20-30 range. Not worth 50. I have yet to win a game of this against my wife.

GSMNP is never that horrible outside of Cades Cove or a few spots along Newfound Gap (but definitely getting worse). My favorite thing about that park — apart from how free and geographically accessible it is — is that so few people go more than a mile up a trail, so it's easier than most places to find peace and quiet.

I bought parks game from target last week. I have heard it's a great game

One of the reviews says it's like ticket to ride.

The trick I learned this summer at Zion is that late is the new early. I am a late riser so we slept in, chilled, took our time and got to the park around 1 or 2 in late June. Made both Angel's Landing and the Narrows WAYYYYY less crowded. I couldn't imagine doing it when there are folks all over the place.
