I did buy Fold 3 couple months ago and I ended up selling it and I get the ultra instead.
1- the phone is too narrow when it's folded so you have to unfold it for better experience.
2- as a someone who uses social media apps it's not easy to pull out your phone and take snapchat or instagram pic right a way.
3- almost all cases with Spen are bulk and huge so I ended up leaving the SPen which is really not good.
4- watching youtube videos not great because of the Screen ratio. Basically it's even smaller than regular phones.
5- battery is really bad, Will die before the end of the day.
6- some apps look bad even if you adjust resolution and the screen ratio, for example Facebook app looks really ugly.

With all that being said I still recommend this phone if you don't mind those issues this ua really a good price.

The same situation of SSN security for me. went to store and purchased them successfully after the manual verification process from TMobile. They told me that maybe I was with prepaid plan for a few years.

Their website isn't letting me verify my Tmo account with phone number and SSN.

When I went in store, I had to direct the employee to the $999.99 promo on the website. When I try to get the Buds, she tells me the Galaxy Buds promo ended weeks ago. I show her that the Z Fold on display literally says it comes with Galaxy Buds through Dec 31. She calls her supervisor and then tells me the promo is only for Verizon.

I'm at a bit of a loss. Has anyone gotten past their online verification? In store, if I have them put the phone and Buds in the same order, should it just ring up as free even on Tmo?
get another person or go to another bestbuy. They clearly dont know what they are selling. Show them the website

Shouldn't need to add a line as for AT&T adding a line does NOT reduce price. Reduction of $100 only apply to new line for T-mobile and yes, opening a new account is a hard pull. That said, hard pull is about 10-15 point drop which you will recover in couple of months. If your credit score is around 800 then 10-15 point drop does not affect your car financing I would think. (Usually, for car financing 750+ is pretty much all you need).
Another option is that if you have a friend who has T-mobile post paid account, they can just add a line ($10-40/month depending on their account type), add the phone to their account and cancel the line right away and you should only pay whatever pro-rated line cost for the month. Since you are not financing the phone, it should not affect your friend's account/credit at all. Now, only issue here is that if they have 2 lines, going from 2 -> 3 lines USUALLY requires account change (I believe), same for going from 6 lines to 7 lines (I believe). It usually does not affect from 7 lines up to 12 which is usually the max # of lines one can have on an account. You can have up to 15 lines per SSN split into 2 accounts.

I don't have anyone that uses T-Mobile unfortunately. AT&T doesn't allow for upgrade. It's either add a line or create a new account.

I'm not too optimistic about the other employees and there isn't another BB within an hour from me. I'll head back sometime and try to get them to add the phone+buds to cart and see what happens. Thanks for the sanity check.

This is exactly what the manager at my store told me to and I insisted that their website CLEARLY says the promo is still on. The manager told the sales person to just try ring up the galaxy bud sku and it ran up as $0.00, he apologized and told me that his system did not list the promotion for some reason when it USUALLY does. Just ask them to ring up the buds and it will ring up as $0.00.

That said, make SURE they ring up the "Unlocked" version of the phone. I think their promo page stated that it has to be "Unlocked" phone for the promo.

FYI, if your picking up the phone you can also choose to pickup from a nearby city with lower taxes to save a few bucks. In LA I chose to pickup in orange county.

When you check out on the Best Buy website you have to choose whether you are adding a new line or upgrading an existing line.

Upgrading means you will add this phone to the phone number you already have. So when you check out, choose upgrade and enter the phone number that will use this phone. Then it will ask for your T-MOBILE info to verify your account.

right. It says, I am eligible for upgrade. So it is like a free upgrade? What am I exactly upgrading? is tmobile helping me to upgrade my phone?

You are just upgrading your phone, nothing else changes.

Yup but that S6 will retain its value better compared to Samsung LMAOLMAO Good luck selling your fold for $500 one week after purchase.
I would definitely buy the Fold 3 for $500 from anyone who wants to sell theirs.
