I did buy Fold 3 couple months ago and I ended up selling it and I get the ultra instead.
1- the phone is too narrow when it's folded so you have to unfold it for better experience.
2- as a someone who uses social media apps it's not easy to pull out your phone and take snapchat or instagram pic right a way.
3- almost all cases with Spen are bulk and huge so I ended up leaving the SPen which is really not good.
4- watching youtube videos not great because of the Screen ratio. Basically it's even smaller than regular phones.
5- battery is really bad, Will die before the end of the day.
6- some apps look bad even if you adjust resolution and the screen ratio, for example Facebook app looks really ugly.

With all that being said I still recommend this phone if you don't mind those issues this ua really a good price.

That's not the point. In my opinion this phone is not better than any other flagship phone. It will be STEAL if it is free, similarly to other flagship phones deals at the moment. Paying $1000 for it is not steal, and it is a questionable deal. Most people here rely on the idea that based on Samsung past offer, they will get a trade in of $1000 value next year. Maybe, maybe not. I am not overly optimistic about Samsung's business patterns, from what I've seen they try to out-greed Apple, which is already a solid benchmark by itself Smilie Smilie In finance, this kind of presumptions based on promises carry very high risk, and they are usually heavily discounted - check the Argentines bonds or Evergrande's debt notes Smilie Smilie
Samsung choose to loose the pricing, and they basically created a Ponzi scheme, where any newer generation phone revenue can be motivated with very expensive trade ins. Now, they are trying to break that chain of events with a "sale" at $1000. If you want to fund their broken market approach, feel free to do it.
You don't have to trade it to Samsung. Best Buy, T-Mobile, ATT etc will take your phone back, and in exchange give you a credit towards a new phone. Yes, we don't know the trade in price but it will be worth something.

when i go through checkout and it asks if i want to trade in a phone and I say yes.. then it asks for my phone # and primary account holder's last 4 ss #'s, then it texts me a confirmation code. i enter it and it tells me i have several pending submissions for phone orders/upgrades and to go to my account and remove them first. i did do the iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB deal with BB back in October, trading in an iPhone 12 Pro Max 128GB. But that's all I see on my account. I did that in store.

Anyone encounter such a message before?

I added a TMobile line, waited for the phone to ship, then contacted TMobile on Twitter asking them to cancel the new line, which they did (and supposedly won't be charging me for). The phone is supposed to arrive next week, but I'm away, so unfortunately can't actually test activation on existing line till then Frown.

I'm not sure if bestbuy or TMobile will make me pay the $100 difference yet, but I'll keep you guys posted.

Tried buying this with existing AT&T line but wouldn't let me check out. Is this only good for new lines for AT&T?

I'm out of contract now and still on a S9+ so is this deal still the best for out of contract customers?
I ran into the same problem. Ended up just opening a new line and will cancel it when I get the phone tomorrow.

There is not one. Even popping out the insert and nothing. I guess mine is truly unlocked & not activated.
When I bought the Flip 3, the sim card was taped to the outside box.
my sim cardboard insert thing was just flopping around loosely in the box.

So did you do it with ATT or tmobile with the new line/account? Will they charge anything or penalize for canceling?

Link to free flagship phone deals?
T-Mobile has $1000 off via monthly credits on their Magenda plans. If you are signing for service anyway, it's a "free" iPhone13 Pro for example. Didn't bother to check ATT and Verizon, but I think they have similar deals as well.

I did it with AT&T. You should be able to cancel with no fee since the phone was bought outright. Might have to sweet talk the AT&T rep to get the activation fee for the line removed.

Those 24/36mo. bill credit is an issue here. One could just cancel the service right away in this deal and get the phone, where as on that scenario, one has to keep the line open for 24/36mo. to get the full credit. (Also, on their most expensive plans as well).
Now, if you ALREADY have T-mobile plan and don't mind getting iPhone (I am not too fond of apple ecosystem), then yes, that should be seriously considered.

Received mine today as well and there was a TMobile sim card stuck to the outside of the box with one of those Best Buy red and white stickers attaching it.
I just got mine. And it's the same. So does that mean that my new TMobile account will not be activated? It wasn't activated in store, I just picked it up and did a trade in. So my new TMobile account should not be made yet? And if I don't activate it myself, then I don't have to worry about cancelling it?

On the Tmo Essentials 55+ plan, BB isn't being allowed to upgrade my phone, but Tmo doesn't know why. I've spent enough time on this, but good to know for the future I guess.

Why upgrade? Add a new line on whatever plan and then cancel when you get home.

OK. I got the ready for pickup from BB email. Can I cancel T-Mobile without having to pay anything additional?
