I did buy Fold 3 couple months ago and I ended up selling it and I get the ultra instead.
1- the phone is too narrow when it's folded so you have to unfold it for better experience.
2- as a someone who uses social media apps it's not easy to pull out your phone and take snapchat or instagram pic right a way.
3- almost all cases with Spen are bulk and huge so I ended up leaving the SPen which is really not good.
4- watching youtube videos not great because of the Screen ratio. Basically it's even smaller than regular phones.
5- battery is really bad, Will die before the end of the day.
6- some apps look bad even if you adjust resolution and the screen ratio, for example Facebook app looks really ugly.

With all that being said I still recommend this phone if you don't mind those issues this ua really a good price.

Those 24/36mo. bill credit is an issue here. One could just cancel the service right away in this deal and get the phone, where as on that scenario, one has to keep the line open for 24/36mo. to get the full credit. (Also, on their most expensive plans as well).
Now, if you ALREADY have T-mobile plan and don't mind getting iPhone (I am not too fond of apple ecosystem), then yes, that should be seriously considered.
So for this Galaxy Z offer you are telling me that this part of the details doesn't apply:
"Contact T-Mobile before cancelling service to continue remaining bill credits, or credits stop & balance on required finance agreement is due (e.g. $999.99 – Galaxy Z Flip3 5G 128GB). " ?

T-Mobile has $1000 off via monthly credits on their Magenda plans. If you are signing for service anyway, it's a "free" iPhone13 Pro for example. Didn't bother to check ATT and Verizon, but I think they have similar deals as well.
The T-Mobile $1000 off deal requires:
  • The most expensive Magenta Max plan
  • Trade in iPhone 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max
  • 30 months bill credits so you'd have to stay on the plan for 30 months
Unless I missed something, you're claiming an unlocked Z Fold 3 for $1000 with no string attached is a questionable deal but somehow paying for the most expensive Magenta Max plan for 30 months and trade in an iPhone Pro just to get $1000 off is considered "free".

There is no "bill credit" since there is none - this is pay it all at once deal since financing does not apply. If you open a new T-mobile line, then you get $100 discount ($899 instead of $999) and then once you get the phone, you can just cancel the line/account and potentially pay only the part of the monthly cost.

I saw few posts with the error saying " There was an issue, but its solved now" when trying to add new account with tmobile. Has anyone able to solve this problem? I am not sure whats happening here but tried multiple times in multiple browsers and app. Does not work for me.

I chatted with Best Buy and they said that the service can be cancelled after one month by calling T mobile.

OK. I got the ready for pickup from BB email. Can I cancel T-Mobile without having to pay anything additional?

Has anyone bought the phone with a freind's T-mobile account and activated it on a different carrier? I am on Sprint SWAC and a friend of mine bought it as an upgrade and is planning to return. I would like to buy it from him and just swap the SIM. Does it need to be activated on the account it was purchased with first before we can use another carrier?

My sprint plan uses the T-mobile SIM though.

I don't know the difference plan types but its just as easy as popping your SIM in and go if they got the unlocked version.

I have it ordered by adding a line, but I don't even see the line on my t-mobile account. Do you see it after you get the phone?

If you add a new magenta Max plan its 1000 off with bill credits w/o trade-in

Link? Is it an unadvertised deal? Their website clearly requires trade-in

I really want this, but the battery life is just telling me to hold off. My s21 ultra lasts a long time but phone arena says it's about half my ultra....
I have the same concern. But I decided to go for it anyway and placed the order. If I am not happy with the z fold 3, I hope I will get good trade in value for it when buying S22 Ultra launching in Feb.

I got mine and I am extremely impressed. Maybe it's the honeymoon period, but right now, I won't use another non-folding phone tablet

Picked up my unlocked verizon account one now. Chatting away with verizon to cancel account, they wanted the charge full one month + $35 one time charge to cancel on the next monthly bill cycle. Asking to disconnect asap and that I just got the phone and sim card. They are looking into it. Wish me luck.

edit. they just confirmed I will only get charged for the $35 fee and they will cancel tonight. wish I could stay on longer and fight for that but spent too much already. good luck people.
