I agree with most people here if you need fast USB storage, go with an external portable SSD drive, however that form factor usually requires a cable and a small-cased enclosure hanging out.
If you really need the smallest form factor though, then my recommendation is to get a microSD usb 3.0 reader along with a microSD card instead. These are actually smaller than jump/flash drives themselves usually the size of a thumb. They allow you to swap multiple microSDs at anytime. You get the flexibility to use microSD separately in other devices if desired. The microSD cards typically have faster speeds too. All this would cost you around $10 for the usb reader, and then the cost of a microSD card of your choice. Not all microSD usb readers are performant, but the one that comes with Samsung's latest Pro Plus microSD is a very fast one with support for DDR208 protocol enabling higher speeds than 100MB/sec.
Some microSD usb readers that are good, performant, and tiny are:
Samsung: https://smile.amazon.co
Lexar: https://smile.amazon.co
Kingston: https://smile.amazon.co
(By the way, I've attached a screenshot of the performance of the Samsung Pro Plus microsd using their usb reader as an example, 160MB/sec read, 127MB/sec writes)

My goal price for usb storage like this is $10 per 128GB whether you're getting an external SSD(extremely fast, application drive), a microSD card+usb reader(flexibility, moderate speed), or a flash drive(outdated, slow, not recommended).

Someone mentioned there that the write speed is only ~10-49 MB/s.

Walmart link didn't work for me. Got some redirect error. Had to go-to Wm website and search. Drive was listed multiple times but only one listing with deal. And it showed up in search as 32gb for $8. Had to click options to see 256 for $19. Got 4 of those.
TY
256gb for $20 works for me as extra handy storage. Have bunch of 128gb laying around, glad to have extra handy storage

I actually just checked the drives Walmart sold me, and they show AW46 on the barcode.

To get around this, retailers will focus their deals on custom versions of a product that only they sell. Usually the variants are based on a more common base model, but have some slight variation in features/build etc, and most importantly, carry with them a different product ID/barcode.

But the faster options with USB-C are all significantly more expensive. So if you don't need those features, then these are a good alternative at least in my opinion.
