just an alternative viewpoint here. I have tried multiple IPS and VA. If you game in the dark, black levels on IPS are not good. I have this monitor and am very pleased with it. I have a Viewsonic Elite 240hz IPS that is now a side monitor because I hate the black levels on it so much.
VA panel, most don't like them.

Make your own decision.

This is a really good read. One post convinces you to go VA; the next convinces you to go IPS. So it appears to come down to which post you read last.

It's a good deal under 300 but it has some quirks. The left and right edges have this weird fade effect because the backlight panel is like a cm behind the image panel. Black to grey response time is atrocious (scrolling black text on a grey background). Ghost is an inch long. No setting will fix it.

Still good for gaming though.
That's a different model# that has the weird layered edge issue (see my other reply.) That's the one Costco had on sale for BF.

Is 2560x1440 a good resolution if the person using it would only be using it for work/productivity?

Yes, especially for a 32". I have dual of the non-gaming version of this currently on sale at Costco for $199. I use them for work. They are huge and have solid real estate for productivity. I think 27" could be the sweet spot for size but I have already gotten used to my 32" and it would be hard to go back. I also can now move the monitors back a bit on the desk for more a more comfortable surface area and still have a lot of visibility.

Hey Google "is 2560x1440 a good resolution?".

"The higher the number of pixels per inch (ppi) the smoother everything looks. If the ppi is too low things will start to look grainy but you won't benefit from it being too high either. Some reasons for that are:

that you will need a high-end system to produce the images at that resolution

you will need to scale everything up when you're not playing games or watching a movie

there comes a point where you simply can't tell the difference anymore and everything simply looks sharp to you

Here are some examples of the ppi count for different combinations:

24" @ 1920x1080 = 92ppi

24" @ 1920x1200 = 94ppi

24" @ 2560x1440 = 122ppi

27" @ 1920x1080 = 82ppi

27" @ 2560x1440 = 109ppi

32" @ 1920x1080 = 69ppi

32" @ 2560x1440 = 92ppi

32" @ 3840x2160 = 138ppi"

92ppi looks really good and sharp.

I got this when it was 250 from amazon, using it currently and I LOVE IT, i have used it for watching videos, blender and games. First gaming screen so not much to compare it to. But overall I am really happy Smilie

Speaking from experience most definitely. I work about 12 hours a day on my PC and I've never felt the need for a 4K monitor at 32".

Thanks but I think that's a GN600. Do you have a link?

I was under the impression they were identical except the stand and inputs... Interesting.

Note that these are the model with AMD FreeSync, not NVIDIA G-Sync as the Costco/BB model.
Not completely true, here's costco's description for reference COSTCO LINK [costco.com]

In the product details it says "NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium"
