Be sure to download the update, where they start changing the rules from race to race.

Do the rules stay the same throughout each race or do they change on the final lap?

Fake sport.
I started watching F1 in 1965 when I was in high school…back in the days of "you crash, you die." If you get and watch the movie "1" in some of the group photos from the late 60s you can count four to six drivers who died and at one point they were losing four front-line drivers every season. I was lucky enough at age 17-18 to get to drive six races in SCCA Formula B (which was run under the same rules as F2). Watching the modern cars where everything is controlled from the pits and drivers have constant updated information is really kind of boring. My last favorite was Senna (go on Youtube and realize he was using an H-pattern shifter - https://youtu.be/wQgP9nugt5I). New favorite is Gasly.

PS - My current car (at age 71) is a 2006 Mitsubishi Evo 9 that does 0-60 well under 4 seconds…and I DRIVE it.

I also feel like Tsunoda is going to be a force next season.. he was P3 at one point in Abu Dhabi, and with all this last-lap drama, gets overlooked for finishing P4! Not bad, rookie!
Yeah but he's been pretty bad most of the season.

It's called a motor race...don't cha know?

j/k it sucked, should have kept the lapped cars at least
I would love to know what would have happened with three lapped cars in between them. I am a relatively new F1 fan so I don't have a good sense of how many cars Max could have realistically passed in one lap, but I do know that Max would have been going HARD and those other three drivers might have been a little scared to be in the way.

Right, he's got the talent and fresh tires, so I think it would have been a nice challenge to see as well as some legitimacy of a "fair" race. I mean you put them next to each other, talent and cars even being about equal but someone has fresh tires vs worn tires, the outcome was pretty predictable. Anyhow I only came here to see the comments and at this point the season being over, yeah I'd wait for the price of this game to drop even more. No sense in paying this much for it.

That track is not particularly easy to overtake - so it would have been pretty hard for Max to get in front within one lap, unless the lapped cars basically pulled over and stopped to let Max pass right away. Even if they did (they were still racing for positions, but most probably wouldn't wanna interfere in such an intense battle), Hamilton would have had a much bigger gap on the restart, making it incredibly tough to make it up and pass within one lap.

Does this game give you a teammate that slows everyone else down so I can easily win?

If I finish second will there be a penalty if I have a hissy fit and don't show up for the F1 Gala? It's in the rules book.

Real F1 fans should also know that rules are rules and no one can just make up or change the rules on the spot. No one in this thread has said anything bad about Max or RB, every person who has a decent amount of intelligence will agree that Max is a worthy champion and RB capitalized on a great opportunity, even Toto and Lewis have congratulated them. Stop acting like those comments are targeted towards Max or RB, go enjoy the fact that Max won if you're supporting him, and stop the whining about the well-desevered criticism towards the FIA.
F1 rules have always been political and changed. "Real" f1 fans would know that.

That's sounds about right. Entertaining maybe 1 time just because of the bizarreness of it. If he thinks that's sustainable then best of luck. There's a reason why it's not big in the USA. Because sports need integrity here. One minor rule doesn't make sense and it becomes national news here
This must be a joke
