Looks awesome. Don't forget to set up and use water repellent balm on the seams before using it. It'll last longer and be more water proof than the factory application alone. I'm in for one, thanks OP
I've had this tent for over 8 years now. I use it for car camping with my family of four. We are able to fit two queen air mattresses and still have room for our stuff such as a pack and play. It's very large and comfortable. It's great for 3 season camping but for the winter it might be rough due to the screen roof. Might need a low temp sleeping bag for winter. Set up is pretty easy for a large tent but the rain fly can be quite a pain but not impossible. It's impossible to get back in the sack it came with so get a military seabag to address that. I would say for that price it's a good tent. I can stand up in it but I'm only 5'7 on a good day.
I have this tent - bought it six or eight years ago. It's nice for family car camping when you have a lot of room to set up and don't mind a big, heavy tent. But we've hardly used it since the first campground outing with the family when kids were little. Because it's too large of a footprint to fit in any space we'd try to put a tent -- even in most paid campgrounds (and especially for our more usual woods/mountain camping).

This is about the same price I bought it for on sale years ago -- it goes on sale for about half off every winter.

Note: If you're looking to stand up... go for a cabin-style tent instead. You'll still crouch in this one.
Light: I have the model with the light... hopefully they upgraded the battery power because mine used 4 D-cells (big & heavy). But it worked great, with a little remote to turn on and light up the tent as you approach.

Do you know what the 2 other options "Lighted" or "8-Person" mean compared to that?

The only tent I'm able to find that fits on my 7x20 trailer, it's perfect. I have always tented on a trailer to stay off the ground for multiple reasons. No bugs, no moisture, a lot less dirt, flat and no bumps. It's a decent tent, survived a pretty bad rain storm plus high winds.

My son is almost camping age but I kind of think a sky window is a must have. What do others think and, if so, which tent is recommended so I can start waiting for the right deal.

Have had for a decade. The fly is a pain to put up. There are easier and better IMO.

I bought Coleman Tenaya Lake (8 person) from Walmart for $128 couple weeks ago. Anyone think this is a better buy or should I keep the tenaya? TIA.

Keep the tenaya, this is a good tent but that one has better build IMO

I had this tent. It was ok. Biggest issues were:
Lack of windows
Too long and narrow
Rainfly is kind of annoying to get on

Also I paid only like $75, so do with that what you will. This is not a bad price for a bad tent, bit it isn't a great price for a great tent either.

The "hinged" door is kind of cool, but only works properly if you pitch the tent juuuuust right.

We have this tent and it's pretty good. It's huge, so consider that. It's a great option for car camping. I would hate to have to carry this more than 15 feet from the car to the tent site. It's heavy.
We were using it for 4 of us and that gives everyone tons of room. Nice in the summer to help keep everyone cool and comfortable. This isn't good for colder days as you won't be able to generate enough heat to make it warm inside.
It sheds water pretty well and held up to some windy/unsettled days with the pegs and guy wire (strings) installed. You need to build your tent properly for it to work properly.
We haven't had to challenge it with a real storm, but with some passing showers and wind, it was fine.
I did spray the fly and bottom with some silicone waterproof spray. Something I do with all our gear.

That's the Amazon list price, which are rarely accurate. Typical price is nearer $130. The three camels have spoken.
