It's kinda strange to see RCA, a former leader in top of the line television production, reduced to an afterthought (if they're even thought of at all) in the minds of most TV purchasers.
Went a different direction for family.

Ugh, I know this is low quality, and I shouldn't buy it, but it is so dang cheap that it is still tempting."
I bought a 58" Hisense in Spring of 2019 for $359 at Costco. We noticed the only other 58" in the store (such a weird size, how many factories make a 58?) was a Samsung so figured we'd get a Samsung-quality panel for a much lower price. Plus, it had Dolby Vision.
It was definitely edge-lit and didn't have the blackest blacks, but it worked fine until this past Thanksgiving week, when it died in the middle of a movie.
Hisense said it's past warranty (yes) and they won't repair it (fine) and won't even give me an estimate (boo).
Trying to make a claim on the warranty with my Costco visa but the benefit company is demanding a written repair estimate. I sent the email from Hisense but that's not enough. How do other people get through this? I found a local repair shop, do I pay them $20 to get the $359 from the insurer?
(I replaced it that same day with a 55-inch Hisense Roku at Costco, it works very well)

I just got done doing a warranty claim thru costco visa. Take to to a reputable repair shop. Get the estimate and email it. Costco will credit you card plus the cost of the estimate and now you are free to use that money on a new TV with a brand new warranty.
Picked this up today. Seems pretty great. Better than my 55P607 from TCL actually. No banding and only very subtle edge light bleed. Netflix and Sling look great (only 1080p). Haven't tried out the Xbox yet. Anyone have tips on picture settings?

I got it setup today also. HATE that roku remote. Antenna TV setting/signal sucked. Couldn't even pick up what I was watching on the TV I swapped out.
Picture is a little wacky..... need time for an adjustment. It's BRIGHT. Audio is pretty good so far, need some time to adjust it.

Roku can't stream Chrome tabs?
You're right about the adjustment. Out of the box it's BRIGHT as hell!
I set it to Movie mode, turned the backlight and sharpness down to 20, and it looks great in a dark room.

Wh---what?
Please tell me you're joking. You could donate $ to MSF or something to help people who really need help, but you donate TVs to Americans? This must be a joke

Unfortunately the DPCI is cross referenced with an old one for a 32" Sharp, but the listing on Targets site seems to show accurate stock.

Turn off Dynamic Picture off - very annoying when I have the menu up and it turns dark
Picture color - warm - helps out with the washed off standard color. I am sure customization will makes it better.
Sound - Speech - pretty neat function when watching a movie, don't have an issue with hearing anything during a loud movie.
Not bad for 58".
Thanks.
