Decent deal for someone that wants this specific cabinet.
By the way, it is this price pretty much everywhere. Best Buy, Kohl's, Arcade1Up, etc... So you can buy it from your favorite store.
Arcade 1up used to have such crazy deals. I got my TMNT for $149 tax free, free shipping. $199 for Street Fighter. I know people were getting NBA Jam for like $99. And now all they offer is $100 off this and NBA Jam. Jam going for $450. Crazy times.
Is this the lowest it's been? Anyone know if this is easy to mod with extra games?
This has the Mortal Kombat specific button layout. You would be better off modding something with the regular 6/8 button layout like Street Fighter, Marvel etc

Unless you buy a premodded kit from arcademodup($350-500), It is a project. you're looking at buying and installing a raspberry pi, amplifier, new buttons graphics card then installing the games.
Got this deal back in Nov when scanning the UPCs in store. Shelf tag said $449.. It will go (boxed) under the tree on Christmas… Amd then I'll mod it later in Jan and add more games…
great deal, but its a neck breaker. This and the other SF cab they have, have strange viewing angles. You have to slouch to see the screen because the marquee is in the way.

I think it's probably a mix of actual inflation hitting companies hard, but also "nostalgia inflation" which seems to be picking up. Retro/nostalgia collectible products are blowing up in price all over the past year.
I sold almost of my gaming collection in 2020 at what I thought was inflated prices. Most everything has tripled+ since then.

I have all mine up on cinderblocks makes a pretty good height for me. I'm 6'7 though so might be too tall for most people.
I have one of these cabinets with the 1up riser. It's still too short. I'm 6ft tall and it needs about another 9 inches or so to keep my neck and back from hurting from bending over to play.

I got lucky a couple weeks ago, was at Walmart on a completely different matter and while at the electronics counter they had a NBA Jam just sitting there at the register marked at $100, it's cool, but that's my price point for these.

Are you really 6'7?
