Some people said you can't drop these, you probably can't. Granted, the max are 25lb, so why would you need to?
I'd say my impression on durability is 4 out of 5, seems solid, but not like they feel like they'll last a lifetime. I think it's just about use - how in the world could these ever breakdown if you just used them for their intended purpose? I can't imagine a scenario where I'd have to replace these over the next 5 years or buy other dumbbells in this size range.
For me, I really like that I didn't pay more $ for a higher weight range, because I don't want a 5lb-50lb set. I just want this for ancillary workouts to my main lifts. The tradeoff in this product is it's max 25lb, not that it's low build quality, and that's the trade I wanted to make.
EDIT: Btw, TU for the deal and repped. This is a great price for what you get. I also work out with a pair of Bowflex 552 dumbbells, but I think I might pick up these CAPs as well. The 552 plates are so dang big; the CAP might be good for high-rep burner sets.

Edit, was able to get a refund for $22 off the original order and a $10 promo code on my next order. Wow, I hit the lottery with the Walmart support agents.

I know you were not saying all people drop their weights just putting it out there and these seem like decent quality weights for those interested.
That being said, which ones do I prefer? I prefer Powerblocks over Bowflex, but the BEST dumbells i have tried are rubberized hex dumbells with the chrome grip. Its worth the extra space. These adjustable dumbells - bowflex 552s, Powerblock, and most likely this set, are just too gimmicky and not smooth enough for what you pay for.
Wondering if it is just me or anyone else have the same issue
Now, I had a chat with Walmart rep. and he did a refund of $17 and gave $5 credit to use it on next order. So, it is around $78 after adjustment plus any taxes.
P.S: If the rep. refuses to refund the difference then ask them to provide any promo on next order. There you can debate with them. Place new order with that promo which might takes more off or try with another rep.
