Yes, works on any network.
12-28-2021 at 10:21 AM
I am not very sure whether it will works after Feb 2022 after AT&T phases out 3G network. In AT&T certified list, it only says '8 (IN2011, IN2013, IN 2017)', hope this work is one of these three models.

AT&T works on band 2, 4, 5, 12, 17, 29, 30 and 66 and OP8 supports all these 8 bands. I dont see a reason why there would be a problem once AT&T phases out 3G

It's being sold directly from one plus I would say the warranty would be valid for 1 year. I have never heard of a manufacturer declining a warranty on a product bought directly from them.

Yes it’s working in india. You can unlock once you receive the phone

I hate to say this but have you tried contacting ONEPLUS about your problem? At least you'll have a record of your problem

If CSR is in india, why would impact your phone? Once unlocked, it should work in India. Just make sure you know which supported bands are compatible with phone and select that service provider. OP8 5G supports 25+ 4G bands Worldwide

After the upgrade to A 11 I have:

"This device is network unlocked."
Where do you see that message?

Nevermind, after updating to Android 11 I now see the Settings -> SIM & network settings -> Network Unlock option is now again available but when I click on it this time I get:
"This mobile device is permanently unlocked and can be used with any carrier!"

Got mine today also, went to network and selected permanent unlock. I didn't update android or anything I just set up my email before I did it. Restarted the phone and it says permanently unlocked.

Got the phone today and I'm happy with how fast and sleek it is! The battery drain is worrying me though. Only used it 2 hours and it's down to 33% after less than 2 hours sot.
Initial setup usually uses a lot of battery on any phone. I would say after setup is complete charge to 100 and see what happens from there.

Unlocking

WITH SIM CARD OUT and CONNECTED TO WIFI here's a good step by step.

Its settings -> wifi & network -> Sim&network -> At the bottom "network unlock". I requested permanent unlock,

It might take a couple of minutes or even fail. If it does fail just do it again until it works
It asked for rebooting, and now the lock function is disabled.
Did someone try with a different SIM to make sure it actually unlocked successfully?

Thanks.

Ordered on 12/27
USPS noticed it is delivered today at 1:48pm at/in mailbox, but nothing inside. The mailbox has a lock on it.
Contacted USPS, they have no idea,no answers.
DHL is not reachable because it requires a 10-digit tracking number that I don't have.
Contacted OnePlus 3 times, they just asked me to wait for another day and another day, finally, a manager agreed that they will investigate it which takes 5-7 business days. The phone does not depreciate and I can be patient forever, right?

Did you go online and activate the device? I had to go online, choose the phone I wanted switched from, type in the imei of the new phone, type in the sim number, then activate. I didn't think you could just switch the sim cards and it would work without fiddling with the account online.

You need to unlock the phone BEFORE you put any sim card in it. Didn't you read the instructions? If you put in a sim card before unlocking it then it might LOCK TO TMOBILE.

The last 22 numbers of the DHL tracking number you got is for the USPS TRACKING. Use that on the USPS tracking website. It normally starts with the number 2.
