Match lowest price from BH Photo earlier, larger cache 128M vs 64.

Another day, another decade old 4tb drive "deal". 8tb should be the minimum
This deal is approximately $17/tb - what are the comparable per tb price of a 8tb drive?

Why should a person with a couple TB of data need to purchase multiple 8TB drives for their RAID?

A bunch of big drive snobs in this thread. lol. I have a Synology 2 bay with a single 4Tb RED. Hundreds of movies, 10,000+ pictures, tons of documents. Takes up less then half the drive. Debating buying another so I can do a RAID setup just in case even though most of it is being backed up to the cloud already.

I remember buying 500gb drives to RAID into a 1.5 tb drive. Each one was $89. So it was a $250+ 1.5 tb drive.

If you're a person who needs to store / share stuff and needs a red plus drive I think this is a great deal for you. If you need 8 tb, go find one that fits your budget. If you need 30tb. or 60 and on and on. But if you need 4 - this is a good deal.

I never understand why people saying 4TB is too small. Surely different people have different preferences and needs. That's why car manufacturers make different models and sizes, not everyone wants, needs or can afford a big SUV. For some, a compact size car is all they need.

Because they pirate uncompressed blu-rays and don't understand compression.
