Deal has come in and out of stock for a few months, most recently at $319. Big thread here with lots of discussion:
https://slickdeals.net/f/15464059

I bought one to check it out personally. Came is a black box with laptop and charger only. Laptop was in new condition, works perfectly. No backlit keyboard, no touchscreen may turn some off. Two m2 slots, one accessible through small removeable panel on bottom of computer. But neither takes an NVMe drive, only SATA. Worth the money given the specs, but limited warranty and almost non-existing support.
Have you had a personal experience or heard horrible gateway refub stories? Seriously curious.
I have the previous version and the main m.2 slot took an nvme drive but I had to change a setting in the bios from "sata" to nvme.

I'm talking about the 10th gen i5 version so this may not work.

I bought one too. After a week, I tried to upgrade the drive with a NVME drive, but the BIOS didn't recognize the new drive (I opened the back case)? It may have to go back to WM !

I bought this exact model last year, refurbished at the same price. Like many others it came with a generic box, but laptop was "new". In my opinion for the specs and price it was well worth the plasticy touchpad and "meh" build. I use this laptop mostly in office or at home so the screen is plenty bright. Update to Windows 11 was easy too. I'd recommend anyone who just needs a work/school laptop.

Brought it at $319 but power adapter was bad. Returned. Brought a black one after that. Very fast laptop. Yes. It doesn't take NVMe drive. Just ordered the 512gb sata version from Newegg for $40. Want to make one drive for windows 10 and one for windows 11. SUPER CRAZY. CANNOT FIND A OWNERS MANUAL ANYWHERE.

it has a 80EU Iris XE GPU
which means it is about the same as Vega 7 found in most AMD APU.

i don't have confidence in that charging port and adapter.

it's like the smallest connector you would use for a kid's toy that easily break.

Does yours charge via type c? Some said yes and some said no. Just curious

Mines charged through usb-c just fine but with the improved performance on 2022 chips I returned it and will wait for this year's iteration.

Link to drive? And this is a 2nd one for storage?

Does charge with USB c but not with regular phone charger, has to be more watts, haven't tested 45 but definitely 60 works. Keyboard and TouchPad are bad, fingerprint doesn't work all the time but I think maybe there's a lag for it to start working. Annoying enough I switch to pin. I'm curious what drive people bought and installed, wondering if it's worth putting a 2nd one in.
