This is a repost, but I just got mine in the mail when I ordered when it was in stock last week. This is a very nice laptop.

Pros:
1080P IPS Display
16 GB Ram
IRIS Graphics can do low level gaming (Fortnite, etc)
USB-C Charging (this was a MUST for me, I hate the Samsung Alpha 2 deals that don't have USB-C Charging... it's nice for travel to just plug the laptop into a 25W cell phone brick)
USB-C Display Dock support (I plugged it into my Wife's Dell dock and am typing on dual monitors)
4-core / 8 thread Intel 11th Gen CPU
Light and portable, it's the same size as our 8 year old 13.1" Lenovo Yoga it replaces

It still has a dummy brick with a barrel power connector that it comes with.

Laptop arrived brand new for me.

The biggest CON is yeah, with a low level laptop the CPU cooler is cheap, so there is fan whine when it is running full bore. It's noticeable, but not huge.

Overall for $329 this is a pretty good deal for 16GB RAM (even if it is soldered).

These are not really "Refubs" in the way of factory refubs. These are Walmart returns, equivalent to Amazon Used Like New etc. It literally ships from Walmart Returns Center.

The manufacturer probably pays Walmart to resell the returns rather than ship them back to China.

Mine was at least charging from the USB-C Dell Dock I plugged it into.

You might need to plug it into a USB-C charger that supports the formal USB PD (Power Delivery) spec.

A regular old cell phone charger might not do it.

A Google brand cell phone charger would be the most compliant USB-C PD charger I can think of. There's also various brand 60W GaN chargers.

The device doesn't really have a charging light (at least one I've noticed) but Windows said it was charging and showed the charging icon.

I just tried using a Samsung 25W Super Fast Charging brick (got it with my wifes Note 20) and that did NOT work.

BUT we just got in the mail the Samsung 35W Charging Duo and some Samsung 5 Amp (thick boi) USB-C charging cables (came free with Galaxy Watch) and that DID power the laptop.

This is the 35W charger duo that worked (we got like 3 of them for free with Galaxy Watch last month, samsungs cart was messed up, gave us a 44mm Galaxy watch, 2 watch band, 3 35W chargers, 2 5A USB-C cables, and a Galaxy Watch dock for $250... paid for with our $250 GC from S22 Ultra).

35W Charger https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile...220nbegus/

Cable https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile...510jwegus/

Looks like Amazon has the 35W power duo for $23
https://www.amazon.com/Electronic...1JFZ7?th=1

So I assume something like one of those USB-C GaN chargers on amazon would charge it. Just invest in a good USB-C cable to supply that much power.

It looks like the this one [amazon.com] comes with a cable and has good reviews.

Yeah, I can't tell if this is some sort of USB-C feature or if this thing has hidden Thunderbolt support, but plugged into my wife's Dell Dock this thing can drive 3 displays (1 on the laptop and 2 external displays).

I was getting some flickering on the stock drivers but updated the Iris Xe drivers to the ones on the Intel website and everything began working fine.

It came out of the box with Windows 11.

I think it uses PD 60 or 65W standard because it was pulling anywhere from 30-60+ when I measured the USB-C power output.

The two I ordered came with Windows 10. Depends on if the person who bought it first upgraded before returning.

For those of you riding the fence on this one...I have one as a refurb from the holidays at this price. The short of it is, i love it. The metal top makes it feel more premium than it actually is. For the money, getting one of these refurbed and running it through its paces to make sure it's not messed up is the way to go. I'm really happy with the purchase, with two main gripes: 1) the power connector into the laptop feels very cheap, and vulnerable to damage if not careful. 2) the laptop screen is not as bright as I would like, but it is reasonable for the price. The keyboard is functional but a bit meh. As mentioned previously, not backlit. But it's 16GB 11th gen i5 for $329 with reasonable aesthetics...can't have everything.

At this price, an 11th gen i5 and 16gb is pretty good at the refurb price if you get a good one. The SD threads back around the holidays about the refurb reported some folks who had bad experiences with different components breaking down. Mine came looking like new. Worst comes to worst you return it back to Wallyworld. AFAIK they don't have restocking charges, so you can run it through its paces until the return timeline ends.

One more thing: YT had a review of this laptop to be able to do a BIOS tweak that improved the performance of the laptop:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YuJso34l30

see about 2:10 in the "BIOS settings" section of the video. I tried doing this myself, but couldn't discern any difference in performance so maybe i did it wrong...

At this price, I'd take this over a $150 Chromebook any day, but yeah, you might be rolling the dice a little bit. I've had no problems though. The other consideration is that this price seems to be the going price, but they haven't lowered their price as time passes; if you can be patient, there could be a point where the next gen i5s come out and these have to come down...ideal use cases are probably light CPU oriented gaming since it has no GPU, and lots of browsing (you can open tabs galore at 16gb without worrying too much that the system will choke).

Reviews complain about the screen being dark and the keyboard sucking, if anyone wanted the other end of it. Also a lot of DOA or dying soon after use.

One reviewer said he wanted to swap the ssd, but it was an m.2 sata, not nvme.

Why companies are still using m.2 sata to save $15 is a mystery to me.

Had a bit of interest, but the cheap out on the SSD turned me off.

Edit: and if these are just customer returns where the customer may have infected the device while they had it, I recommend doing a clean windows 10 or 11 install as your very first step.

This is blue. Black is also available at the same price.
