Witcher hands down. Story is lengthy and phenomenal. So much to craft, wear, equip and explore. Put 250+ hours into first play through (Xbox Series X though). Blows BOTW out of the water… and BOTW was the best game that I've had ever played, until Witcher 3. I've been gaming since Coleco.

I never played on Switch though… Wonder about performance…

Then I wonder about pc version will play on Steam Deck 🤤

Point and click ain't my jam.

There is cross save between PC and Switch. So if you started on GOG or Steam and want to take your save to the switch for Witcher on the go, you can do so with cloud saves:

Diablo is more of a dungeon crawler RPG with an emphasis on multiplayer. Witcher is a 3rd person open world adventure RPG. So it depends what you're looking for.

This. I played the Witcher on my gaming PC. I just so happen to also have it on switch. It's a graphics nightmare in comparison. I laughed and turned it off. If you have any other option, take it. Otherwise, it's a great game!
Don't look at YouTube videos before Patch 3.6. SIGNIFICANT improvements on sharpness and clarity since the last update, and highly customizable graphics settings, more than the PS4 version. Judge for yourself: https://youtu.be/f8zuaa6KdBQ At 2:00 they do side by side comparison from 3.5 to patch 3.6 "extra crispy edition" lol

When playing in handheld I cannot tell the difference from PS4 aside from some cutscene FPS drops. Only when playing docked is it apparent, but still amazing for the Switch's limited horsepower.

Agree that it's a step down graphically, but it is incredibly well done, responsiveness and speed in combat is retained and scaling of distant textures minimizes noticable issues.

I still find myself pausing to take in snow capped mountains or a vista at sunset, and they retained more bloom and lighting effects than I expected.

You still get lost in the world, I just wanted to test the different graphics settings and suddenly it was three hours later and I'd finished every Quest in White Orchard.

This is still one of the greatest games and stories of all time in my book, akin to Skyrim but with so much more heart and soul. Some choices I made in game still haunt me to this day, which is rare for a game for me.

For $10 more, the DLC is probably WORTH it, but do I really NEED it?
Yes absolutely. The DLC is easily another 60 hours of gameplay and the quest lines are beautifully written and absolute poignant gut-shots.

Blood and Wine really puts a bow on the story and feels like the real ending, and Touissant is a massive and absolutely beautiful new region.

Are you playing on the regular switch, or OLED? Also, how was your switch's battery after 3 hours of playing?

Buy this on any other system you have if you can unless you are dieing to play it on portable . Yes it's a technical marvel that it can run on the switch and it is indeed a great game but i have had several crashes throughout playing it and it is a real bummer to lose my progress . Ended up finishing it on PS4. I dunno, maybe I was just unlucky but it soured my experience .

Did they fix the small text problems from when it first launched? I bought this back then and tried to play it on my 70 inch TV at the time. The text on items was so small that it was frustrating to read. Many complaints at the time but they didn't fix it, so I traded the game off and never really got into it. That was several years ago, so I'm wondering if they made a way to increase the text now?

I played it on XBox One and really liked it. I thought about getting it for my wife to play on her Switch, but IGN's review kind of scared me off. Basically, the Switch is just not powerful enough to play this game. The graphics problems don't just make the game look bad (short draw distances, low resolution, texture popping), but it actually makes it difficult to play the game due to the inability to really tell what's going on, compared to the systems that this game was built for.

I think I would only buy this for Switch if it's absolutely the only way you can play this game. And even then, I might tell someone to just continue waiting (it came out in 2015) until your next console to play it.

They must have, the text and minimap is larger than PS4 version for me. No crashes through all of White Orchard so far.

Gameplay and Combat feels as smooth and responsive as base PS4 version. Though some busy cutscenes had significant frame rate drops.

love the price, the physical version is better IMO though if you like to collect. The physical actually is 1 cart with the entire thing, CD project Red took a loss to get their switch cart updated. And the physical comes in a box etc., pretty nice.
the complete edition was ported to switch first. more than a year later, they actually went back and released another digital version without the dlc.
