Atomic = plastic where there should be metal. Okay for occasional home use but if you're hard on your tools or intend to use them quite a bit avoid the atomics.

I've owned both and basically, the impact driver might struggle with really large lags (or just take forever) and you have to be real careful about not smoking the motor on the drill if you are using boring bits, holesaws, etc. (think running electrical). Otherwise they are fine.

If this is the same 6.5" circular I have, i'm very impressed with it and have used it for numerous sheet goods, decking boards, 2x material and so on. With the 5ah battery, no problems. I wouldn't use the 2ah battery though, likely where the struggle comes from.

I, too, thought I would need the 7.25" but that's just not the case at least for me.

Just note, while these are brushless they also are the cheaper line of tools (non-XR series). What that means: plastic chucks, lower output motors. I've owned both and basically, the impact driver might struggle with really large lags (or just take forever) and you have to be real careful about not smoking the motor on the drill if you are using boring bits, holesaws, etc. (think running electrical). Otherwise they are fine.

If you're just cross cutting 2x material or ripping osb or thin sheets of plywood this is all you really need. Where this might slow you down is if you need to rip 3/4 plywood / treated plywood but that's not to say it cant handle it. For this price and the batteries its worth it. You can sell the batteries easy for $50-60 so you getting this for at most $47 + Tax. I know a lot of people that use these roofing and framing because its pretty light compared to the brushed saws and cheap when they eventually break it or gets stolen lol.

That's what I'm on the fence about. Suppose it depends if you'll be ripping lots of thick wood. Also these batteries are small power-wise for the circ saw. I'm leaning towards waiting, but I haven't seen deals on the 7 1/4 for the last 6mos. Especially with the bigger batteries.

I've tried cutting 2x6 decking with the 6-1/2 circular It was very slow and frustrating. Fine for single board replacement, but it you are doing installation work, don't bother.

Killer deal. Have been wanting that reciprocating saw for a while and the 2 free batteries are just icing. I have used the 2 aH - not good for really high draw tools, but nice and light. Just buy 2 chargers and keep one on there and you'll be fine. The 60v is only really needed on the circular saw, but is nice to have for high draw 20v tools.

It's 100% worth the money for the 60v flexvolt circular. I got it on promo with the battery (those are really expensive) and it just doesn't bind. Only hand tool that I think it's necessary on, as I got rid of my 20v circ before (too frustrating to use and you get those ugly marks when the blade binds and you restart).

If DeWalt would do a 60v mower, I could get rid of my 80v Kobalt set and 100% switch.
