Every router sale post on this app is full of FUD posts. I am going to buy this as it is almost the same as the lowest price it hit in October and is an upgrade from my old AC1600 which is also Netgear. If it is not good I will return it. Most people have simple needs for routers. So do your research if you have a complex layout or are trying to mesh or something more complicated, but I find it hard to believe 90% of people who will throw this in a room somewhere and connect a laptop, tablet, and TV to it are going to catch on fire constantly when they try and use it. If I find out any different I'll edit this post. I hope people that constantly post FUD keep in mind the more simple use cases people have and are not just going around complaining about how nothing meets their very specific complex needs and the constant reconfiguring and reflashing they're trying to do.
I've had this router for about a week now. No issues. Easy to set up. The app is OK. Have not needed any support as all my devices (I have about 15) connected automatically once I changed the SSID/password to my old ones (I'm using 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz bands). The device I received is a RAX38v2. No instability or issues with the firmware, software, or hardware yet, but I will say certain things like changing the SSID take longer than I'd expect. The firmware update out of the box was pretty slow, but no issues. The app seems to really love re-checking the connection constantly which is probably better for people that don't know what they're doing. The only thing that has frustrated me, which has nothing to do with this particular router, is the WiFi card in one my older laptops does not detect AX SSIDs (AC only). I will update if I have any other issues.
Netgear has the worst outsourced support that I've ever experienced. Support is based in India and like they are reading from a script with no deviation. They couldn't even explain what a series of flashing lights on the modem meant I had two routers fail, one old and a new one out of the box. They wont even talk to you unless you open a case and input all your information. I'd rather set my money on fire than deal with them again.

I have the RAX35v2, which I believe is the same but Wally version. If this is anything like mine, I would 10/10 recommend. 1500sq ft home (router placed on main floor center of house) with zero issues in signal strength anywhere. Upgrading from an older Nighthawk (7200) and this was much easier to setup with No dropping issues on either 2.4ghz or 5ghz. Connected to Netgear CM1100 on Comcast 800 speed plan, and I get exactly that

I have been using this for 2 years and just placed another order to extend wifi signals for Ring floodlight cam. I would recommend this for someone who needs the new router. It has good coverage and speed(wifi 6 -ax) so you wouldn't regret.
