Hmmm, was just reading some user revies on Amazon and wanted to point a few things out....

1. It's rated for 450 hours on a single charge, but that is for the slower Bluetooth. For the faster 2.4Ghz it's rated for 285 hours, however actual usage reported by users is around 80-100 hours, yikes! That's a lotta batteries per year if you don't use rechargeables...

2. There were a lot of reports of the mouse constantly disconnecting - granted not everyone reported this, so YMMV. This is one of my top concerns with anything wireless of course.

I guess you can roll the dice and see how it performs. Fortunately, Amazon has generous return policies...

Also found reports that this feels very heavy compared to wired mice from Razer.

NOTE: No customizable RGB lighting either, if that's important to you

I think it is a common issue with Razer products. I have two razer mice, both wheels make squeaking sound after 3 months of use.

With Razor, absolutely. You're lucky it's still working at all. And this is coming from a razor enthusiast. I love everything about them but the scroll wheel breaks after a few months.

This looks like a less cool Logitech g602. My experience with razor had been poor. They break. My g602 I bought 8 years ago still works, but I upgraded to the g604. I'd save the headache and buy Logitech. They go on sale all the time.

Convenient if you WFH. 2.4 WiFi for gaming computer and Bluetooth for work computer, just have to flip the switch at the bottom. 35 is how much a standard work mouse costs anyways

Wondering how much of the people having connectivity issues have the 2.4 GHz dongle plugged into the back of their mobo as opposed to in the front w/ a direct line of sight. I have the Viper Ultimate wireless and haven't had any issues, granted the wireless tech is better iirc.

Just to go the other way I have not noticed the usb adapter disconnecting the mouse. I don't think it will be a ultra long lasting mouse like the Logitech G9. Hoping if I clean the scroll wheel it will continue to function. Currently switching between this mouse and a logitech mx master 2. I like that it is wireless and the batteries seem to last reasonably well. Yes the mouse is not an ultralight due to the batteries, but I am accustom to heavy mice. The mouse feels fine in my hands, but I would like a better scroll wheel. It works reasonably well. it could use better software for programming. Not noted double clicking issue. Most modern mice seem to have it listed as a problem. Guessing they are using affordable switches compared to older mice. I haven't found a well built mouse I like as much as the G9 yet, but I do find this mouse acceptable as a current solution while I search for something better. Guessing it might last me a year or two since I am gentle with mice.

Wondering if USB placement might help. I have not had trouble with my mouse going into sleep mode. I placed in in the front away from other USB devices. So maybe try a good usb extension cord to move the adapter closer to the mouse.

The other potential issue is basic 2.4 ghz congestion. So in a metro area with multiple wifi networks on every frequency it simply has issues. That is before factoring in all the wireless devices using the bad as wellhttps://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...lies/smile.gif
G9 had its own defect with the cable strain relief design and mush thumb buttons, they all have a flaw.

I didn't have issues with cable stain nor did any of my friends, doesn't mean it wasn't an issue...thumb buttons were mushy, but that is better than most modern mice. Overall it was an insanely durable mouse minus potential cable issues. Modern mice the issue tends to be low quality switches and general durability.

What would be helpful is which current mouse you recommend. Which mouse released today might last a decade?

It was a known issue the way the double click is now, but it took longer to happen. Took out both my 9/9x.

G502 is still good even with the flaw if found for around ~$35, the software profiles auto switching binds is just too useful to abandon, more buttons than the Razer, plus the spin wheel.

Sure, but don't make it so obvious

#1 In my experience it generally lasts me no longer than 150 in 2.4ghz mode, it's not that long, about a month but it still made enough sense for me to purchase rechargeable lithium batteries.

#2 Yes, this is a pretty common problem with the mouse, it mainly disconnects when going to sleep, I've not had a random disconnect personally. The mouse is set to go to sleep in the software after 5 mins of inactivity but mostly it seems to trigger after about 2 mins. 95% of the time it will wake fine, 5% of the time it will not, and I most change the input on the bottom of the mouse (going to Bluetooth, than back to 2.4ghz) and on rare occasions I must remove the battery and put it back in for the mouse to work again.

Not a frequent problem but still annoying every time it does happen.

As for weight, yes due to the battery, no RGB as you stated, which I don't personally mind.

I love the G502 but the wireless version is like $200 with charger, this was around the same price when I bought it awhile back. Same exact shape as the G502, minus a few macro buttons (which I've become accustomed to after using the G502 for 6 years).

All in all I do not dislike this mouth, it does have issues, but I'm willing to over look them when it's discounted to such a large degree. I've also not noticed any input lag with this mouse over my G502, shape is basically exactly the same, it was a budget replacement since wireless G502 is so expensive.

Bought a wired one to try it out. My logitech software eats so much RAM.

Might be off topic, but I'm considering getting a wireless mouse that can connect to both my personal pc and work laptop. I can purchase an extra dongle if needed, but is it easy to switch between the Bluetooth?

I have this mouse. I like it. I use bluetooth connection to my work laptop and the dongle for my gaming pc. I know people say it loses connection, but i think that happens when you let the mouse sit for bit too long for bluetooth. And as far as dongle, you can't have too many other usb devices around it. I just connect it to the front of the computer instead of back. The battery life is not that great but I got AA batteries always charged up somewhere.

I like the custom mapping of the button and how it stays with the mouse.

It's not perfect, but if you want some of these functionalities with relatively low cost, it fits the bill.
A fellow man of culture.

Use this exact same set up and it's super convenient to switch back and forth and not have to use a different mouse.

Can keep work and play separate with 1 mouse.
