I would pay 50$ more and get the Roku version. No comparison in user interface experience between the two. Roku is light years ahead of Android TV.

Said no one ever. Roku sucks balls compared to Android tv. Stay in your lane JR

We just picked up one of these a couple days ago. $250, and a 5 year warranty when paying with the Citi Costco credit card. Pretty good deal considering what TVs are currently going for. The 5-year warranty was what ultimately convinced me to pull the trigger. I was concerned about the quality and functionality based on what I have seen/heard people say about TCL and Android TV. Pleasantly surprised so far. The interface is actually quite nice and the TV feels more responsive than our Hisense 58R6E3 Roku TV. In terms of the quality, I guess time will tell. we'll see how it holds up...

Does Android TV have the Xfinity Stream app?

(Please do not comment on mobile system OS, only interested in TV users experiencesThankYou)
Not the good version like Roku and Samsung have with the mini guide, just similar to the mobile version

Back up to $300 everywhere near me. Guess the deal must have disappeared over the weekend. Just gonna spend the extra $50 and see if it drops at some point!

Yup, price went back to $299.99 on 1/18/22. Just like the price tag in the second picture said valid until 1/17/22.

So here is the dilemma if you buy the TV now, you may not be able to get a price adjustment. This is because if the remaining inventory at your local Costco sells out before the next nationwide in-store only $50 off sale, your local Costco will not have this sale. Also you cannot price match online since the TV is no longer sold online.

Thanks! That makes sense what you're saying. Yeah, I missed the tag for a price drop till 1/17. I remember seeing it in one of the comments, but didn't get a chance to go get the TV at that time (the nearest Costco that had it wasn't all that close). I guess in my head, that a discontinued model would have that price drop continue past 1/17 not revert back if they were trying to clear inventory, but that was a poor assumption!

If I don't get the $50 drop, not the end of the world, but I'll keep an eye on it. From what you're telling me though, it sounds like I can't just go to my closest Costco and ask for a price adjustment if they don't have it in stock, but actually have to go to one that does have it in stock. Anyways, appreciate the advice!

People who disagree with you, given their own personal experience are "shills," got it...
I have the 43S403 and LOVE it--great value for money, especially with the Roku built in, but what do I know?

Quote from wherestheanykey :
Ignore the Roku shill. He probably hasn't used an Android TV in years. They used to be notoriously slow due to the TV manufacturers skimping on the ram. That's no longer the case.

Roku is lightweight because it lacks 90% of the features of every other smart tv interface and strips out the basic functions every TV should have, such as picture adjustments beyond simple presets. They also lock functions behind their stupid phone app, which works poorly and shoves ads in your face.

One main advantage of Android TV is the ability to side load apps that add tons of functionality, while still having all the apps you'd find on Roku. For instance, you can set up ad block and never have to watch a Hulu or YouTube ad ever again. There's also no web browser on Roku, while Android TV can run Chrome or Firefox.

If you find you don't like Android TV, you can always add a Roku box, which will undoubtedly be a lot less clunky than a built in Roku interface and cheaper than an external Android box if you had gone the other direction.

Sorry your feelings were hurt, but your own personal opinions shouldn't deter reality.

That's such a weird reply. I just availed you of the REALITY of the TV that I personally own and have HANDS ON experience with, but that conflicts with your OPINION.
Your "shill" denigration is no way to have a civil conversation about the merits of a device's specs. The irony/hypocrisy of your comments eludes you, apparently.
