I just got this card a couple weeks ago and I'll be getting the $200 bonus next month, I guess I should have waited

Update: I contacted Chase to see if I could claim this promotion. The representative said there was no such deal going on at the moment.

Booking using chase travel is the dumbest thing to do. I have never found better prices there. You end up spending atleast 10% extra even after 6.5% rewards 😂

If you apply for the card directly from chase.com

I got this deal few weeks ago. The $20 bonus came within a week. The bonus categories change each quarter, which I thought was kind of nice. It's always 5% CB on travel though.

the 16 Month 0% interest balance travel worked out well also (not sure if this is a temporary offer or not).

I think this is just a meh deal. I already have Wells Fargo that gives me 2% on EVERY purchase. And I got a $300 additional bonus when I had signed up and spent limit was only like $2000.

The best deal I scored was with my now closed Sapphre card that gave me 80k points back in account credit on a purchase over $6k. I ended up buying a rolex for $8k and received almost $700 in cashback points which pretty much took care of the taxes I paid on the watch.

Not a good deal compare to the regular offer with 200 signup bonus after spending just 500 dollars.

This offer: 20000 spending x3% = 600 back.
Regular offer: 500 spending = 200 back plus 500*1.5% = $207.5. if you need to spend 20k anyways, you can spend it elsewhere to get another SUB like the freedom flex, also offering 200 back after 500 spending, or any number of other credit cards (like the bank of america's 2 cards that give you 200 back after 1k spending). you get 800 in SUB alone after just 3k spending in above example, compare to needing to spend 20k to get that 600 back in this offer. If you play the points game, there are even better offers out there. don't burden yourself with having to spend 20k on a card to maximize the benefit.

Can someone tell me if it's worth upgrading from the Chase Freedom card? Got an email invite for it.

So if I spend 20k, I get back $300. Sounds like a deal of a lifetime. It's funny to me how these banks try to make it seem like they are hooking you up by giving you these shitty cash back rewards. You get 1.5% back but they charge you 10% or higher in intrest. What a f-ing joke.
I agree 1.5 percent on 20k is nothing since you can do a lot of signup bonuses for 20k spend but lol@ paying interest. Who cares what the rate is just pay it in full every month.
