This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

LOL... I know what that feels like. I'm trying to convince hubby to move to the closest area with a publix - about 3 hrs away I believe...

Hopefully it wasn't me... lol. I try not to bid on auctions that already have bidders, but some q's are just hard to get otherwise! It amazes me what folks will spend for some of those q's.

I have been outbid on 20 auctions so far in the past 2 days!

I know; me too. No matter how much I'll save, I just cannot pay some of those prices.

I'm not exactly sure if it's the same Q, but I have some GW 16s that were hangtags on the spray bottle cleaners found at Acme (owned by Albie's) a little while back. It was a green square that unfolded w/the Q hidden in one of the middle pages.

Where are you? I just heard on the news that it's really affecting more kids than adults and there was another case with a child in the hospital in WI.
I am in SC Wisconsin south of Madison. I wonder if that is my neighbor's son? It is so scary for them when all they can do is wait to see if the oscillating ventilator & meds/fluids etc work.

Quote from .teri. :
I thought the Swine Flu had pretty much played itself out, but then my co-workers mother got it a couple of weeks ago. She was in the hospital for over a week. I hope this little one will be ok, and hope all the other kids stay well hug
Thanks! I am hoping that this soon plays itself out completely!!!!! I know that the VAST majority of folks who get it end up being fine ... but then you hear about the folks who don't ... like the two ladies who had just had babies - Frown

You should teach my kiddos to nap! Hee hee

Oh and I ran into Target to get two bags of Beneful dog food because for some reason I thought that the buy 2 bags and get the $5GC continued thru today but it had ended. However, even worse - I saw that the Hefty TPC $1.87 on the bags ended tonight! I didn't have any Q's with me for them - ACK! So all those, like me, who had a few of those MQ's to use I think we missed our opportunity.

There has been quite a bit of drama here lately. The nice thing about this thread is that is is relatively drama free and stupid question free. We all get along well here. When there is drama, it is always created by someone who is new and brings drama with them from somewhere else. Lately there has been alot of new people to the thread, and unfortunately they have been bringing drama and just plain rudeness with them. I hope they learn to play nice if they plan on staying.

OMG! I didn't know the smilies had hidden meanings! Wow! Hope I didn't offend anyone in any of my posts. Embarrassment

HI! New to the lounge & new to Target. I had given Target a shot in the past, but was denied on my transactions and told they didn't accept Internet Printables! Anyone else have this issue?

I stopped last night at a different Target & had success w/the Softsoap Deal. However, I'm still not sure if this Target takes IP's or not. Must have been the cashier's first night, as when the screen prompted for the GC, he looked at me & said "I don't know how it knows that you're paying w/a GC, but it's telling you to swipe it now!" Teehee

I read back a few, but couldn't find an answer, can someone tell me what the deal is w/the Greenworks? TIA

At the front of the store yesterday Target had a bunch of Webster Dictionaries for $1.00. Small, softbound, but I picked up 2 for the kids, for school. Nice size for their backpacks.

Hey guys - anyone who has a few spare thoughts - our net door neighbor's son in in the hospital really sick with Swine Flu. It is crazy the kids all play in the back yards together and then all of a sudden he wasn't there and his Dad called me to warn me that he is in the hospital. He is on an oscillating ventillator and very ill - of course, I am watching my kiddos like a hawk .... but if you have any positive thoughts please send them his way!! HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS
Sorry to hear this. Frown I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Quote from sbhiggins :
So I've got these formula checks to trade (in my siggy below). I've not done a lot of trading on SD (except with you all Smilie). I'm pretty clueless about the various trading threads here.

Can anyone clue me in on where would be the best place to trade the checks? Are they considered "coupons"? (And so should be traded in the coupon trading thread?) I know there's a $5 limit in the other thread, so I guess that would mean I couldn't trade the $10 check. Any ideas? Thx!!
I get so confused about this. I thought the trade limit was $5. But I think that means its the "perceived value" of the trade. Scratchhead IOW, I couldn't send you $7 for it. But I could trade you $10 worth of q's? Scratchhead Scratchchin Dontknow

Quote from Thrifty-n-SoCal :
Seriously you Publix ladies need to S&G all the tearpads/insert q's to trade with us. I've been paying for these bad boys on fleabay. I would gladly PP or trade for them. You would help feed my 16 coupon crack addiction.

I think they are refering to the B2G1 Clorox Greenworks on Ebay. I heart them! Someone is selling them for 5 for $2.99 EEK! I bought 80 of them back in May for $18 by making a seller an offer. I think it's the same seller, so you can try making an offer. --- Edit, they appear to be gone. You can always try messaging thr sellr to ask if he has any more.

Yea, I wish they'd go back to showing people's user names. I once accidentally outbid my friend. Just so you know, I am bidding on a $15 off $100 Electronics TQ on Ebay night now Smilie

Anyone need some $1/1 Poptarts coupons? I have like 15 of them that expire on 6/30. -- GONE
