This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

At CVS. It's already been tried and discovered that the CVS coupon will charge you $2 at Target. Coverlaugh

Diapers it is then.... laugh out loud. I am definately going to need to step it up to get to the $4k mark though - but I like that as a goal!!! Greedy

Hey girls! Wave Garage sales? Lust One of my fave subjects. Biggrin2 I haven't had one since we returned to the islands but the two I had on the mainland were well worth it. By the time I put the ad in the paper for my second one, I had people stopping by my house two days early Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) with all sorts of stories as to why they wanted to come in and shop early. I had seen someone in the Garage Sale discussion thread, in the Chicago area saying they made $4k at theirs..... So, made that my goal. Roll I fell short by about a grand it it was still well worth it. Of course, with the second one, I sold ALL my stockpile because we couldn't take it with us.

nod I did. Thank you. hug I also bought a zester last night at W-S. Not that I need it for Mangocello. laugh out loud

I went to Ala Moana last night and I am very pleased to report that our V.S. is going to be HUUUUUGE! I took a cell phone pic. Will see if I can upload it.

Ok folks, I was telling Crazy about this little dilemma I have and I want your ideas and opinions. The neighbohood we live in is on government land that has been leased to a contractor. The contractor then rents out all the homes. So no one owns their house here. And no one has a fenced in yard, just a little privacy fence around your lanai area.

My next door neighbor, whom I have never met has a big ass mango tree in her yard. I never even new mango trees got this big. The tree overhangs into our yard quite a bit. The mangos fall on the ground all the time, usually not ripe though. We pick up the ones in our yard and throw them away. I have been mentally nuturing this tree since March. I even feed the freakin' birds so they'll leave the mangos alone. laugh out loud Anyway, the time draws near for the mangos to be ready and all of the sudden a sign appears:

This is not a public tree.
EEK! EEK!

Oh noes! How would you handle this? Dontknow

Well, I can see her point that she wouldn't want the whole neighborhood picking "her" mangos (although it's unlikely she planted the tree on the government property) but nevertheless, it's her "private property" and I'm guessing you all pay rent, no? So technically, she is renting that tree.... HOWEVER, anything that hangs over onto "your" property is your property - whether she likes it or not. If she doesn't, she can pay to keep the thing pruned to her own property line. Real estate is defined as something like a property line and all that is up above and down below - encircled by the property line. So, you can either wait for those yummy ripe mangos to fall to you or you can shake them out - but they're yours if they're on your property. Besides, they have to go to work at some point, right? Just pick while they're not around.

Thanks. hug What's weird was these people used to NEVER be around. We thought the house was a weekly rental that they hadn't converted yet. Then in May, they started being here pretty regularly. And I can't make any rhyme or reason to a work schedule for them.Annoyed My hubby has met her. Her name is Daisy. I am sure with a name like that she has to be super nice.

I just don't want to dorkify myself by going over there and asking when there is clearly a sign there. It's hard for me to be Ninja. I am totally Pirate. Even if I try my hardest, I'd probably somehow screw it up and make all kinds of noise. laugh out loud I seriously want to make some Mangocello and mango jam too. Sadwalk

Time to erect your own sign. "This is not a public yard. Enter it and get shot."

Now, go find some recipes for your mangoes. hug
