Urgh, I just gave my 14 month old a bath and he stood up and pushed against the side of the tub so his little tub moved and he fell and hit his mouth on the side of the tub. He got up and I reached for him and then blood started pouring out of his mouth. He actually looked like he was choking on it! I grabbed toilet paper because that was the only thing within reach and pressed on his mouth to stop the bleeding. But by then he was covered in blood. I was so panicked that I took the shower thing and washed him off, wrapped him up in towels and held him until he stopped crying. Poor little thing. I couldn't tell where the blood was coming from, if you bit his tongue (he only has two teeth) or something else. So I gave him a bottle to make him feel better and put him in his crib but he got up and just stood there looking as his fisher price aquarium thing. So I'm wondering if I should let him sleep or if I should keep him up or maybe Tylenol? I feel so terrible Weeping

I would keep him awake just in case. Some Tylenol would probably help. I hope he's OK Comfort

well, if he isn't bleeding anymore, and didn't hit his head, then I would say there is no reason to keep him up if he is ready for bed..
so, you still can't tell where the blood was coming from? I would check his tongue and his teeth. One of my little ones hit his teeth really bad when he was young and it bled quite a bit. Maybe see if he will suck on a cold rag, it would help the swelling and discomfort if it is his tongue.. or chew on one of those cold teething things. As far as the tylenol goes, I am pretty conservative and only give it when she really needs it. So, if he acts like it is really bothering him, I would give it.. but if he seems okay, you could just wait and see. definitely won't hurt him.. poor baby, I hate it when they get hurthug

Thanks. I just put him down again after some Tylenol and some time sitting with him. He's sleeping now. I think he's ok. I'm just freaked because there was so much blood. I'm sure the water didn't help, just made it look worse. I'm going to check on him every few hours.

yeah, the water always makes it seem like tons more. Not to mention when you mix a little blood with saliva, it looks like so much more. My husband thought he was bleeding to death when he had oral surgery, Didn't believe me when I told him it wasn't as much as he thought, he asked the dentist and he told him the same thing.. If he is sleeping, then it is a good sign he isn't in too much painSmilie

Poor baby. Just so you know, the mouth seems to bleed a LOT. I always think my DS has knocked out a tooth or bitten through it tongue when he has just a small injury to his mouth. I'm sure he'll be ok. You probably feel worse than him right now. hug

Thanks. I feel a little better. I was watching him sleep for a few minutes. He looks like a little angel heart I'm gonig to check on him before I go to bed again.

There isn't really a deal on the Bubba burgers, it's just that we love them and they are normally $9.xx, so I am going to stock up for us and all the family BBQs for this summer while they are $5.79.

That is a good price. I wonder if you could use one of the $$$ off meat WYB tearpads on those? That would make the deal even sweeter.

I'm glad the baby is sleeping. Hopefully it was just the water that made it look so bad.

For those who don't venture over the target thread:

Found a good deal at the ST in Apex, NC this afternoon. In the baby boys section they had about a 100 of the genuine kids by Oshkosh jeans at 75% off - $3.24. Sizes 12 months (i think maybe 18 months) to 5T in Carpenter and 5 pocket style Big Grin

Great for the fall - bought my DS some for Kindergarten. It was my first time in that store, which was really nice. Missing San Antonio already with my 5 Ts within a 40 minutes. Now my closest one is 30+, and ST is 50+ minutes away Frown

Thought of ya'll when were traveling across the country - first we stopped for lunch and there was a T and a Publix in the same shopping complex! Then I saw a T truck broken down on the side of the road as was just thinking about all the great stuff that could be in that truck bounce

It's on the front page of my Target ad. It's a regular Target, we don't have Super Targets. If your store doesn't have that price, LMK and I will get you a raincheck.
