This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

As for the A word... Well my store wouldn't give out rainchecks for the Bubba Burgers last week and all the stinking rainchecks had other products that corresponded to them already... Sooooo...... I took a black pen and colored in the barcode, folded it up and smushed it and then wrote the dcpi of the Bubba Burgers, then took it to the regular cashier, knowing it wouldnt scan and they just typed it in manually Evil (Altering = the Scarlet letter!)
wow, great idea.. I wouldn't have thought of that..

QQueen - thanks for the envie!

Not much to report. I did a quick run into ST today to get brawts - and didn't come out with them... too expensive. Strawberries were 2/3.00 and corn was still 10/1.00 here. Also, the ground beef was 1.79/lb. I didn't notice anything else.

I wish I'd had more time to shop! I made the mistake of thinking that just because I was actually shopping by myself that I'd be left alone and able to complete my shopping! 6 calls later from DH and DD asking "are you done yet", and I decided to go home. I never did get to shop for myself! (dh and oldest dd got some new clothes though - lol... why can I never find stuff for me when I am supposed to??)

Well... I should probably go to bed.

sure did... but you know the saying, "I got the tool, but don't know where to put it." (I think that's for a man to say....) :INAA appears: Rofl2

Toys finally went to 30% at my store and people were snatching them up like crazy. I ran around like a mad women muttering "Why don't we wait until they are at least 50% off."
My store waits to put up the gc signs. I have to use the scanner to check every deal. (Got the P10.)
Somehow the registers are programmed to only take one TC, but the college kids are crazy with the K1 key.
Just a few rants. All in all, I really like my store. ( I taught a bunch of the kids working there. That makes for some nice clearance finds.)

You are the freaking MacGuyver of the blinkie machine. Work that blinkie machine, own it!

SecretActually a thin black line down vertically, like adding an "extra" line to the barcode will do it for you. When a store I worked at closed the liquidators told us that trick

SecretRaid your hubbys' tool a allen wrench will be best. If you need more info PM me.
woot That totally makes sense!

DH knows better than to call me at the store. There was one time that I didn't pre-math my order from home and I was using my cell phone as a calculator...needless to say it took me 3 times as long to shop b/c his calls kept cleaning my total. He knows if he waits and doesn't call I am back within an hour or hour and a half.

Feeling much better today. Slept SOOOOOOO much better. Only one waking to potty and 2 for coughing. Meds wore off by morning so I was hacking up a lung by 5 am but I am happy with the sleep I got!

I went once on Sunday and just avoided them - although I could have used 100 coupons and this girl would not have cared. She was the most dis-interested "I really don't want to be here" cashier I've run across in a looong time - even for K!! Teehee

Good luck - which one are you going to?
I may try Bloomingdale, and then I have to drop my niece off in the city so I will hit Elston/Edens Expy vomit and Norridge.

My son has watched Cars so many times he knows the words by heart. I am spending his college fund on "number cars" as he calls them. He wants every car with a number on it from that movie.

Ok, this totally made me laugh out loud. DS repeats this constantly as he pushes his little Ramone car around the living room. For the Sheriff he says "not in my town". laugh out loud

My oldest is just getting to the age where he has the attention span to sit through a movie. We haven't seen Cars yet, just Nemo and Toy Story. I think I may need to find some disney peelies since I don't do bricks IPs.
