Kmart. I picked a bunch of them up back when that $10 dora Q was out. Did you know lightning and dora are cousins??? It has been a while so I'm not sure if they are still around.
Oh wish I would have known that then. I haven't seen the sheriff at KM or Target. Bummer.

Does anyone here have any suggestions as to how to keep a kid sleeping on his back?

The baby is now so good at rolling over that I keep going in to find him on his stomach and freaking out. He used to sleep on this foam wedge thing with little side rails that was supposed to keep him on his back but that is no longer working (and in fact lately I keep finding him half-on, half-off it, which I'm sure is uncomfortable). So I've ditched that but the problem persists.

He can turn back over on to his back when he's on the floor no problem but I don't think there's enough room in the mini-crib.

From my experience, once they could turn over, there was no way to keep them on their back or stomach.. when I had my first, it was the decade of keeping them on stomach was correct, but he always went to his back.. then by the second child they were into side lying, by the third, the recommendation was back to sleep.. each time, by the age they could roll over, they did the opposite.. so with my DD who is now almost 18 months, we just didn't stress and let her do her own thing when she was little... If you put too many things around them to try to keep them on their back, then the items you put in there are probably more dangerous than the child rolling over, IMO.

Yeah, I agree. I wouldn't worry about it (I don't have any comforters or anything in there with him) except that it's actually causing him to wake up crying since he flips over and then can't get back.

aww, poor thing. Guess he just isn't used to it. Mine all seemed to actually slept better on their stomachs. Maybe he just needs to get used to it. I know it makes for some sleepless nights. What about him sleeping in a regular crib so he has more room? Turning from his stomach to his back should actually be easier for him than getting the other direction. Maybe with a little more room, he could move about.hug

It may be one of those things that he just has to get used to doing and feeling. Do you make sure he gets a lot of tummy time during the day? He may need lots of time to be on his belly so he gets used to the feeling of the pressure. Also, moving him to a bigger crib may help.

Any of you target peeps know if ST carries any kind of frozen entree that is made by kraft by chance?? I kinda breezed through the frozen dept yesterday, but didn't notice anything. The guys were stocking, so it kinda made it hard to go around checking all the labels.

Thanks, guys. I do need to move him to his real crib soon. It's just that the nursery is across the house from our room while the mini-crib is currently in our master bath, which makes it easier for me to feed him in the middle of the night. But he's actually slept 7 straight hours (12 am - 7 am) two nights in a row now, so I'm hopeful we'll make the move soon. Big Grin

And yeah, tummy time has become "rolling over" time ever since he learned how to roll over. laugh out loud

Well he's probably too big for my suggestion, but I used to take a blanket and tuck it into the sides nice and tight nod They were stuffed in there like little burritos. Of course they were in my room and I could hear them stirring.

I thought about that! He's so strong and willful, he's always been able to break out of any kind of bundling or wrapping I've tried to do. Smilie Looking forward to the "terrible twos." Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

gotta love those strong and willful children.. speaking of terrible twos.. my kids always entered them well before 2 and they lasted til almost 4 it seemed. My DD is almost 18 months old, and she has started throwing little attitude fits this week. When my son who is 12, takes anything from her or gets her out of things she shouldn't mess with, then she gets so mad. He stopped her from playing in my jewelry box earlier and she got so mad and kept hitting the pillow on the bed, and then actually hit up against the small tower fan one time.. I think it must not have felt too good, cause she did not do that againCool I just love tempers and power struggles with kiddos.. And to make it worse, she is quite the princess. When she gets fussy in the car seat, she has her brothers trained to rub her feet.. It is kinda funny to watch her stick her foot over for them to rub. She is rotten, but then again she is the baby and it has been 12 years since the last one, and we lost one before her, so she is definitely specialhug
I tell ya though, I will gladly take the terrible twos and potty training over teenage attitudes and drivingEEK!

South Beach is by Kraft isn't it? I don't recall the family though.

Bigeye This is what I get to look forward to. I have a feeling that LJ is going to be the little King in our house. Oh and big sister is already spoiling him. She comes up and rubs my belly and talks to him all the time. Over the weekend we were in the pool. I pulled my top over my bellah and she ran over with the sunscreen and after about 15 minutes she said LJ's had enough tanning and pulled my suit back down. Roll
