This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

BF, there is hope...my 14 yo DD is pretty chill as a teen. Except for the week that she is raiding the Always Inifinity stockpile. She was a good baby and didn't hit her terrible 2's until she was 3 and could talk. UGH!

I've already decided that DH is going to teach her how to drive I would Ranting & Faint In January she gets her learner's permit. Bigeye

Wait, lemme put a different spin on this. So she can help tote LJ around to his soccer practices and playdates and what not. Scratchchin This could work to our advantage. woot

Does anyone here have any suggestions as to how to keep a kid sleeping on his back?
I did everything I could with my first to keep him on his back, but as soon as he could control it, he would sleep on his tummy. He's still a tummy sleeper even at 3 (like his daddy, I guess). With my 2nd, he slept so poorly that I let him sleep on his tummy as soon as he could lift his head up. He slept much better that way. Granted I also let him have stuffed animals and blankets in his crib which I would have _never_ done with my first. Oh, and he hated to be swaddled. Even as a newborn you could tell that he was seriously pissed off when you tried to swaddle him. Teehee

I'd recommend moving him into the full size crib and then letting him roll around and sleep where he ends up Smilie

Holy crap on a cracker!!! I thought the T thread was EEK! - the K Doubles thread is going to give me a stroke. I need to step away from it because otherwise I'm going to be not so nice. Good lord, I don't think anyone over there can read the post above them.

No offense to you glade users but those angel whispers are the nastiest smelling things. You smell them for a minute and it's like they invade you for hours. Can't smell anything else.

No Target for me since Saturday. Maybe time tomorrow. I hope so, I've got buttloads of q's to use!

Prepping for a tag sale, haven't found any dead mice or huge bugs yet but know it's coming.

I'm not sure if anyone has seen the ad for next week (sorry, I'm behind in the deals thread) but the rumor has it that they are advertising price-matching in it?! Here are the "rules" I stole from that certain other thread with lots of red people wandering around in it...

-Guests can only price match for IDENTICAL items (size, model #, color, etc.)
-Guest must have a current, FULL in-store competitor ad in-hand (no single pages, no online print-outs, etc.)
-Target will not price match for % off sales (i.e. If a tv is listed as $799 at Wal-Mart, we can price match to $799. But if Wal-Mart lists the tv as 20% off, we cannot take 20% off the Target price).
-Target will not price match 'membership' stores (i.e. Sam's Club)
-All price matching must be handled at Guest Service. If a guest goes through line and wants to do a price match, the cashier must ring up the item at Target's price and then direct the guest to Guest Service upon completion.
-Guests can price match up to 7 days after a purchase.

Apparently they weren't going to roll it out until August, but it got put in next weeks ad by mistake, so it officially starts on 7/12. HTH someone, and I hope it's true! laugh out loud

Oh wish I would have known that then. I haven't seen the sheriff at KM or Target. Bummer.
Remind me one day, and I can pick up the Sheriff if he is still around, I have one put away already!

I gave her a sippy cup that had been in the car all day, I thought it was water and she was really thirsty and we had a long ride home, so I let her have it.
After she guzzles down half of it, she comes up for air and says "that's good milk Mama!" EEK! EEK! vomit vomit
I will feel HORRIBLE if she gets sick. Frown

well, I would think if it was really bad, she wouldn't have drank that much of it..or as my hubby said, if it was really chunky, it wouldn't have come through the sippy cupvomit
No, seriously, I am sure she will probably be just fine. I think of all the old nasty stuff my kids have consumed throughout the years. My DH gave my daughter some peas last week for dinner while I was gone. I asked where he got them and he told me from the fridge.. He showed me this bowl that had been pushed to the back. I know it had been 2-3 weeks since I cooked them and forgot they were there.. I was grossed out, but she had already eaten them and was fineSmilie

Anyone know if gator had her baby??

I watched the MJ memorial today. I just bawled when his little girl got up, spoke and crumpled into tears. Frown I couldn't help it. My heart just broke for her.

Tons of "summery" looking kitchen stuff marked down at my store tonight. Plates, cups, pitchers, etc, in bright summer colors.
