This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

My three year old has had a sty on her eye for a couple of weeks. Nothing has been helping with it.. her pediatrician took one look at her (for the third time) when we went to his office yesterday and sent us straight over to see an opthamologist. HE took one look at her and said she has to have surgery to have it removed. So we are headed for her surgical procedure tomorrow morning at 6:30. We had reservations to be in Destin today, so we immediately cancelled all of that.

I hate this. I hate anesthesia. She has had two sets of tubes put in her ears in the past two years and I'm not good at dealing with this stuff. EEK! It makes me a nervous wreck..
Alright, you all have had way too many encounters with doctors and surgeons.

Pray for your little one!

It feels that way.. and I've just been released to walk on my foot after 8 weeks of crutches after my own surgery in May. My insurance company is screaming about right now.. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) And I'm sure my pocketbook will be screaming soon, too.

My 20th high school reunion is Saturday night. I did not make plans to attend because we were going to be in Florida.

2009 isn't being such a great year for me so far, y'all..

It is scary to me, but I know I can't show her I'm scared.

Thank you. Smilie It's disappointing but family's health comes first, always. I will miss my chance to meet Jill Connor Browne, though. I'm mourning that just a little.. but it isn't baby girl's fault.

I could freaking use the kool aid right about now. I saw the high risk doc on June 30 at that time he was not overly concerned with the numbers (mind you I had 2 sets of labs done and the #'s were low at that point in time). We ran more tests. Given those increased results we spoke on the phone and he wanted to run the tests again yesterday. I have not heard from him yet. I have an email into him and hope to hear from him today or tomorrow.
I hope this straightens out soon for you.. Frown It's frustrating to know something's goin' on and not be able to figure it out.

Count me in the old lady group too!! Honestly, I am about to be 38 and would consider going for #5 if I was able, but the shop is closed.. Guess I will settle for the fact that by the time my DD (18 mo) becomes a teenager, I will probably have grandkids from one of the othersEEK!
#5..! Shocking You brave, brave lady. I am 38, and my youngest is 3. I think I would cry Crying for a very, very long time if I found out I was pregnant again. I don't think I could do the teeny-tiny baby thing again.. I need my sleep. laugh out loud

And I'm all Worthy to people with more than 2 kids. I have 2. I don't think I would make it with more. Some days I even want to cover my 2 in coupon inserts and ship them to a SlickDealer via UPS Ground..

Just thought I'd add this: Whenever I cooked with my mother as a child I loved to smell the vanilla extract... So one day I asked if I could taste it and my mom says, "No! You must never ever drink any because you will go blind and die!" Needless to say, the therapy bills were quite extensive in my household.

So my DH lost his job yesterday. EEK!
hug Sorry to hear that. I pray he finds something soon. If you need some q's, let me know. I have alot of the bogo satincare and bogo gillette gel coupons and 3.00 fusion and venus coupons. Oh - I also have a bunch of the b3g1 Kraft q's. They all beep at my ST, so I quit using them. Freaks my cashiers out.

Quote from Sharon526 :
All I can say is thank God for coupons, because otherwise we couldn't afford to eat. I feel like I have been interviewing forever.
I completely agree! We would not be eating if it weren't for coupons. We sure wouldn't have a dog either! I pray that either hubby's job becomes permanent or something permanent comes along before he's done with the current job.

Quote from Thrifty-n-SoCal :
More labs yesterday...liver enzymes are still climbing Sadwalk All other labs are coming back in the normal range. I am very Confused3 on this one!
Wow, sorry to hear the bad news. Stay away from the web. I always freak myself out and then get sooo sick (I have a weak stomach when hearing/reading about medical stuff). I pray it's just a crazy hormonal/body reaction to pregnancy and nothing serious. hug

Quote from mama2cole :
Me too.

Holy Windshield Batman! I'm so glad I put on my rain-x bat suit before heading out tonight. laugh out loud Did a HUGE run with my favorite cashier. He was awesome. I think he missed 1 Q out of a pile of like a million. Nothing like a good run to make your mood SO much better.
I'm in awe. I took a break and didn't go this evening. Instead, I went to WM. They treated me well enough to make me feel better.

So, let me ask this. I'm wondering if maybe I need to find a way to befriend a cashier so that we can do the q without a whole freak out session. I'm tired of cashiers that can't believe you could get something free with a coupon, use more than one coupon, have something auto-deduct, etc... How do ya'll find/keep your jedi's? Or, is it just a YMMV thing?

Quote from bpagels :
I'm baaaaack poor me a week with no internet, that was the suck.

Back and better than ever.

Scoped some $4 off wyb venus/fuzion razors and a refill peelies on the razors on a huge endcap, i didnt peel too many people, but they looked like TQs...need to go back and better inspect Smilie
I sooo could've used a couple of these! I can't believe I never saw them! I may just have to go TQ stalking.

hug It's always scary when our little ones need any kind of procedure. They are so helpless and we are so unable to fix it and make it better for them. Frown I'm sorry!

I pray she'll recover very quickly.

Okay - another T question. Do you find small runs bring a lot of scrutiny, or larger runs. I can't seem to figure it out. Maybe it's just my T's. The weird thing is that someone must be able to do well at my ST. It seems like any good clearance/gc/overage deals are well picked over. It's kind of frustrating.

Any good deals on Dawn before the end of the month. I got a ton of q's because my ST had had bigger bottles for 1.62 for weeks... I finally got my q's and they were all sold out! Now, the new stock is back up to 4.14. ARGH! Mad Some of the smaller bottles that are 1.77 have shortys, so not easy with the q's.

Thanks for the tip on the Bounty Smilie And I have printed 2 of the Boost - will print a couple more from the other computer ---- for some reason my computer is having prob with the Expo ones??? Will try the other computer. Just PM me your addy when I have them printed I will drop them in the mail to you Smilie

On a different note ---- WHERE did my post go???? Bah! Sending HUGS to WALOS I hope that the surgery goes well and that you can reschedule you hols! I am so sorry you are going thru this! LOL Dpags - I still get emotional about stuff (but then I am a tad nutty) even with my 5 if I had more time & money I would have 2 more ... yup 7 kiddos LOL But my 5 will have to do.

Did you guys see that post over on the Target thread about the 'Yellow Screen" for "too many coupons" ----- have you guys seen this? I have not and I was wondering about it? I was trying to figure out if they meant too many coupons total or too many like coupons for like items (ie too many bottles of shampoo at once) or too many coupons for the items (like trying to use 4 coupons for 3 items) ............ Was puzzling?????
