So my DH lost his job yesterday. EEK! They are closing his location completely, gave him til the end of the week. So saving money is now a requirement, not just a hobby! This happened to us 3 years ago right before we had DS2 and he says he's more worried now. But he's like "we didn't have all this free stuff and we still had 2 kids so I don't know why I'm more worried". I guess it's SuperMofo to the rescue! Superman
But seriously, I just hope he finds something soon. Last time it was 5 weeks. I was home on maternity leave so it was nice to have him around. But this was before the economy flushed itself down the toilet.
Sorry to hear about your DH! Frown

I carried Mini Thrift in like that too. I was much smaller at 38 weeks with her than I am at 34 weeks with LJ.

Cross posting in the threads I frequent.

Just got off the Mobile with the high risk doc. He's referring me to internal medicine as all of the other labs came back normal and he does not think this is pregnancy related. Annoyed 5 weeks of labs and no answers! Angry

So I have 3 of DS strollers to sell..... Should I sell them as a lot on CL or individually? What do you guys think? It's a travel system, jogging stroller and nice umbrella stroller. So reasonably, you'd use all 3. Edited to add he's 2.5 and close to 40 pounds so I have absolutely no reason to save these
If you don't think you will need them for your next kiddo I would suggest selling them on Craig's List individually. If you can find a company selling that model - you can list a pic of it & the retail price new so folks can see it through the link and then may be willing to spend a little bit more for yours than they would without the pic & comparison. Good luck!!!!

I really am sorry - all the unknown makes it worse for sure! We are here to listen - I wish we could do more!!! Sending HUGS & POSITIVE thoughts! Unfortunately, docs don't know it all ---- we humans are confusing machines with a seeming infinite number of parts with an almost infinite number of possible reactions to different stimuli (due to chemical/physical differences from person to person.) I really am hoping that this is your body having some odd glitch of its own and soon it will return to normal! Sending HUGS & POSITIVE vibes your way!!!!!!!! HUGS

Rofl2 I've looked like that a few times Roll

The other night Wife Swap was coming on and they were describing each family. The first was an uber neat housewife, blah blah, the other was a super cluttered coupon clipping wife's house LMAO The previews showed her telling her 'new' family that they would be using coupons for everything and buying in bulk. I couldn't watch it Roll

A few months ago I was making dinner and DH was washing out his lunchbox. I looked at him and started Crying2 sobbing Crying2 and said, "thanks for being a good husband." He laugh out louded at me and gave me a great big hug when I asked, "what is wrong with me?"
I knew I was pg with #2 when I was watching football with DH and some guy missed a field goal to win the game and I burst into tears and said "that poor guy". 1. It was 2 teams that I don't even remember but not our home team. and 2. I could care less about football anyways. DH turned to me and said "yeah, you're pregnant." LMAO

And I was Crying2 during UP with the kiddo. I was hormonal then too, so I'll blame that! laugh out loud

Thank you for this one - as for the moment I CAN NOT figure out how to get the $2 expo ones to work ..... there are 4 different coupons listed there on the site (after you have typed in all your info) one of which is for $2 off Expo starter sets ---- if anyone can get them to print that would make those sets free at Walgreens this week!
Yeah those Expo coupons aren't working for me either.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. We're hoping unemployment kicks in right away.

I did try a $4 fusion peelie on the gift sets since they have most of the right things in them Coverlaugh but it beeped. K1ed though. But that was with a Jedi who said "good thing I didn't put in 99 for that coupon, it was really worth $8!" Roll

Thrifty you look great! Right before I had my oldest, I referred to myself as Princess Fiona from Shrek! All swollen everywhere!

Found some of those $1/1 haagen daaz somewhere while I was traveling as well, they only had 4 but that means they are still around.

PS-don't remember who was asking about swimming lessons a while ago but my DS has been in them for a bit over a month and LOVES it. Never too early to start.

Sending warm wishes to all out there. hug hug

Hope everyone finds a job shortly woot , I know I have been looking for seven months. Next month is the tight one. It looks like most of my $$$$ will be leaving my saving account. I am supposed to start learning how to deal table games at the casino, classes start mid August. The classes are six weeks long and only 33 percent of the people that start the classes will actually get a job at the casino. Pay is ok. Not what I was making before I was laid off, since I am a the only breadwinner it makes a huge difference. So......number one rule for me for this job is to get to class 15 minutes every day..but i still have to deal with the downtown traffic, you actually never really know how that is from day to day here in WI. Number two is I do have a hearing loss...so I am scare really scared that I will be excused from finishing the classes because of my bilateral hearing loss. All I know is I have to find a job shortly. The big company that I was watching just laid off too.Frown

Love the talk of all the babies...cute grand babies and new ones too. Thrifty my prayers to you too.

I am not liking 2009 either so much. not fun not having a disposable income. I am tired of not being able to afford basic necessaries. I know I need to look at figuring out how to get insurance for myself, kiddo, car and home. Yea.. but...mortgage and student loans take all the $$$$.

Last time I sold my stockpile in July. My total net was $13 after paying off dd and her hubby and the space rent. Then another vendor wanted to buy my stockpile for 75% off retail. my tummy did not want to stay calm Sick . But she did save the day, she bought $700 of my stockpile.

I so totally agree with it is easily to coupon now, can't really imagine trying how to learn with all the stress that goes with unemployment.
