Yeah my oldest is 3 and it was the 33 limit when he was rearfacing, and then the new seat i bought my youngest was 35 lbs. It has slowly been creeping up, thank god! Now the Graco MyRide65, the Sunshine Kids Radians, and the Safety First complete air all go to 40 lbs RF. The Safety First seat will take a 50 percentile kid to 4 years rear facing! Both my kiddos are 90 percentile but they will have plenty of room...just gotta wait til i get a new car to make sure they will both fit RF. I prob had more than 13 seats now that i think about it!

Graco Snugride
Britax Marathon
Britax Decathlon x2
Britax Regent x4
Britax Roundabout x2
Sunshine Kids Radian 65 x2
Cosco Touriva
Cosco Scenera
Graco Nautilus

so 15...i still have one decathlon the nautilus and the 4 regents
Do you have a stroller thing too? I think I've gone through almost as many strollers as carseats (I'm on car seat #14 right now). Stick Out Tongue Just bought the youngest the Graco Nautilus. I like it more than I thought I would. He was using a Evenflo Triumph Advance of some kind, that's going into dh's car.

Sorry to hear about the testing. The EEG was bad enough. Praying things go well and are ever quickly for you! I remember when my son first started having seizures 5 or 6 years ago, it seemed like we were having testing of some kind all the time. It gets exhausting for a mom. hug

Okay, you guys are making me feel inferior, lol.. I doubt I had 15 carseats between all 4 of my kidslaugh out loud

Wave I'm here just did spend any time on the puter yesterday.

I texted DH at work to see if he wanted me to do anything for him today. Just have to go the the PO for him. He listed some things for Mini to do then said if I feel go I should go T (end of message). I thought OMG what a loving husband he wants me to go to T. Yeah next message said through the file cabinet. The T waas for 'through'. What a tease!!! Roll
what a tease, sometimes we hear or read what we want them to say. But then again, maybe he will remember something he does need from T today. The day is still young for you.
Hope you are feeling better and more rested now!

OMG! Why so many carseats? I bought DD a new 1 last summer when she got to big for the carrier. I thought I was nuts because I wanted to get her a new 1. The 1 we got is huge and ugly and looks uncomfortable. My parents got a really nice Eddie Bauer for their car and I want 1 for mine so bad!!!

Is rear facing better? My DD is 22 months old.

Thanks!

I have an EB forward facing carseat for DS who is 15 months. I got it at T when it was 75% off like two years ago. I really like it.

I've had 5 car seats total. 2 Carriers, 2 bigger ones, and a booster. I can't even imagine what 15 car seats cost! (though, now that I realize who I'm talking to... probably next to nothing, eh??)

Yeah... maybe hubby reaallllyyy needs more sippies and CWS...

I've got the Sunshine Kids Radian one for DD and it has been working great! I even took it on an airplane and used it with no problems whatsoever. It's a great car seat. I had an infant carrier (Graco) for her when she ws a baby - so I guess we've had two so far. I'm not expecting to get any more car seats for her, but have been thinking about getting one for her grandparents' car as they are watching her a couple of times a week now. I'm going to be checking out Target today on my way home from work to see if there are any Britax ones left. nod

LOVE LOVE LOVE this video.

What seat did you get? I have been thru so many just cause I always want to play with something new. Since we extended rear faced both boys i was always looking for something more comfortable and deep since they are both really tall. I don't care for the eddie bauer seats unless they are the new 50lb ones. The old ones got outgrown WAY to quick, like a normal 3 year old would be too big for the harness

LOL! I bought the radians and the graco carrier and one of the britax seats during the 2007 pampers deal, I had enough overage for all those plus 2 cribs and clothing for a year for both boys...miss those days!

My sister got this one and she LOVES it.

We had the Graco infant carrier and then the weekend that I was going to go and out buy a Britax we were in a car accident. So I went out and bought a Britax and was refunded the full $298 from the insurance company. (This was before SDs so I actually paid for that). Got a babytrend infant carrier at K on clearance last year for $16. Then went and got another one so we could have a 2nd base for another $16. Sold 1 of the carrier parts for $20 and kept 1 seat and 2 bases for new baby. I'm also stalking a Britax for #2 because I'm sure she'll be out of that infant seat in no time just like her chunky monkey brother was.

Wow... never realized how big of a deal it was for rear facing! I guess we'll be turning around the baby's seat tonight. Yikes!

Totally OT to the car seats, does anyone happen to know the UPC's for the dog food that is included in the gc deal this week?

ETA: I also swear that I saw some clearanced printers at one of my stores, but can't remember which. It was for around 20.XX or 27.XX (can't quite remember) - if anyone picked one up and happens to have the DCPI for one, I'd love to see if my stores have 'em. Thank you thank you thank you!

Wow, I'm second guessing turning DD around now. All 3 boys turned as soon as they could. I did it more for my convenience, It was easier to hand them things and see them.

Since Kasey's death I have been worried about accidents. She was properly restrained in the back seat of a 2001 Ford Focus. The drunk driver overcorrected and hit her right on Kasey's door at full speed impact. It completely dislodged her from her belt positioning booster and threw her into her brother's lap. Thinking back...I wonder if being rear facing would have produced a different outcome?? I'm not second guessing BFF's decision to forward face because she is a wonderful mother who even is a blogger on many breastfeeding websites. BUT, it does make me think twice.

When a kid comes out of the booster i would say that they were prob too small to be in it...it doesn't change anything now, so I hate to say that, because it makes me feel horrible about what happened to that baby....that is just sad.

Here is a video (sad warning) about something similar

Tony's Legacy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G59s3PjcntQ

Kyle David Miller
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=az...re=related

But yeah if your kids are within the size/weight range to rear face then yeah I would def have them rear facing. The last pic i posted was of my ODS in his regent forward facing (still harnessed). As soon as I figure out what I am doing car wise I will prob turn them back rear facing when I get those new complete air seats...it just makes me uneasy to have them forward facing. I CRIED when I had to turn my oldest...i don't even like to leave the house now because my baby is only 23 mos old and forward facing because of his height. He outgrew his marathon by height (head one inch from the top of the shell rear facing) about 4 mos ago...but he is still so little...it kills me...so for sure he will be going back RF. Gotta save the $250 for that seat though.

I think I heard someone else say it was an epson printer on clearence. Maybe check the target website, it should have the DCPI.

Every time I see your siggy it makes me tear up. Was she in a belt positioning booster OR was she using the 5 pt harness of the seat? Forward facing in a harness may have been a little safer but it would be so hard to tell at this point.

I get so leery of people using belt positioning boosters for little (like under 5 yrs old) children because it's a "big" kid seat. Or like I heard someone say in Target today, they move the child from a harness to a belt positioning booster because the child won't leave the harness secured. So they assume the child will do better in a seat that isn't as secure?? And we're not talking big kids, the two little boys looked to be the same size as my youngest (who is 38 inches tall, 31 lbs, 23 months old). Just because a child is over 30 lbs doesn't mean they are ready for that booster seat. And I'm so peeved at carseat manufacturers for pushing the weight part and not emphasizing maturity for using those boosters.

/rant.

I get stroller envy, what can I say. I saw someone using a Bob Rockstar at the Smithsonian over the weekend and thought, ooohhh if the baby was just a little younger. LMAO Over the years I think I've bought 12 or so strollers. Different wants/ needs/ features, just like carseats. My all time favorite was my Peg Pliko P3. Wish I had never sold that one. heart
