This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Can someone convince me to not buy 2 new carseats??

I really need one for an older (but petite) girl to leave here, and one for my df's truck. I eyeballed them today, but convinced myself to not buy them...Now I am trying to convince myself again to not buy them.

She is over the age of 5, but due to her being petite she will be in a booster seat until she reaches 65 pounds. My state law is absurd (at age 4 they can sit with just a seat belt? WTF?!?! Do people not realize the injuries a child can recieve? I would rather my child be 12 and in a booster seat than 4 and dead!) so this is a personal decision. blah!

*snip*

Seems like every thread I am actively participating in someone else joins in too...quite weird.
Well, I know you aren't talking about me because I'm too lazy to go anywhere else Coverlaugh Am curious though Scratchchin

oh, and my dd is 4 (5 in Sept.) and I just bought the Marathon. She is only 37 lbs and 39 inches high. The seat goes up to 65 lbs and 49 inches (I think...the height I have to keep looking up to verify). She has quite a bit of growing to do! She still wears toddler sized shoes! She's my peanut Girly

You know you are overly bored when you are tempted to pop int the deals thread and yell: "SIPPY!!!" and run...

Ran to Wags to get hubby's RX (had some minor surgery today - blech), and was looking for the toothbrushes on sale. (I'd get more stuff, but I can't print the 5/25 q. Frown ) Anyway, I was looking all over, and headed down an aisle. A woman that looked like a manager was walking toward me and I was about to ask her if they had the toothbrushes, but she was carrying keys, wallett, and a bag of foodstuff, so I figured she was on break. I tried to smile but my lips stuck to my teeth (darn dry mouth), and I'm sure it was a weird look. I passed her by and she went in the back. Second's later I hear "So and so to camera check please."

Egads! So then I'm paranoid thinking she is thinking I'm stealing!!! I don't know if I should run out of the store, or hang around - either way is bad, right?? I decided that since I wasn't doing anything wrong, that I would stay a few minutes longer. LOL. I went to the front cashier and asked her if they had the toothbrushes. The were out, so I got a raincheck for one, and since they won't get a truck with more before the end of the week they wrote the RC for a free toothbrush. I had to keep from skipping out to the car... lol. Why would I need to steal when they give me merch for free??

On the kidlet front - dd slipped in the living room today and smashed her forehead into the corner of an old TV we've got sitting BEHIND the couch. It didn't bleed as much as I thought it would, but it's right between her eyebrows. Yikes! She hardly cried - teared up a bit, whined for a minute, asked for "bink" (I think this is a combo word for pink blanket), and 3 minutes later was running around and giggling again. I, on the other hand, was a nervous wreck! I think it's okay and not stitch worthy... hopefully I'm right and she won't have some horrible scar later on and hate me!

We are attempting to potty train, but dd is a camel and will hold it all til bedtimes when she has a diaper on. Today, she had a messy diaper when waking up from nap. After changing her, we took the mess to flush. She enjoys this process for some strange reason. She stood there waving and going "bye poo poo!!" and "silly poo poo... flush... Elno's silly poo poo." I'm not sure I've ever known poo to be so darn amusing!

Okay... that's all. For now.

hey, I've done that! then my contacts are so dry, I can't blink so I end up looking like a real farking moron. I'll have to keep listening for 'camera checks' on me :wherethefarkistheparanoidsmilie?:Paperbag

dd (this child is really giving me gray hair...) jumped from the windowsill in her room to her bed but missed and hit her chin on the metal headboard instead. It split her chin open. It was obvious she needed stitching/gluing Blink hug to you and dd...they really know how to shave years off our lives don't they?

Oh yes... I used to think folks were so dorky for saying their kids were giving them gray hair. Now I wonder how on earth we ever keep our hair at all after having a few kids.

Is your dd a daredevil too? Mine has absolutely NO FEAR. Even things little toddler boys think twice about doing, she just rushes ahead and jumps into (sometimes literally!) She's my big climber too. I'm terrified someone will leave a ladder leaning up against a house or something one of these days. I just *know* that if she's given the opportunity she'll climb onto the roof. She's already trying to climb trees and such. EEK!!!

hug to you and your dd!! (where is "fark" from? I know frak... but not fark...)
