When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I have newborn twins... they are still on the every 3 hour a bottle schedule. I can't wait till they go to sippy cups and feeding themselves. right now we feed them pumped milk but it takes an hour a feeding as they don't suck right bc they were preemies... its a full time job feeding my twinkies.
Have you seen these bottles [bonnybabies.com]. A friend of mine had twin girls and these bottles were her lifesaver. She was able to actually get some things done and play with her oldest while the little ones were eating.

They let my DS drink from a regular cup at school. I never let him because I don't like messes. laugh out loud

DS had his 3 year old ped apt today. 40lbs and 40.5 inches tall. Love the 3 year old visit because there were no shots! woot
My oldest kids are almost 13 and 10 and I still have them drink out of straw cups (like Funtainers etc) because they tend to spill drinks.

Any my kids all had similar stats. My youngest will be 2 next month and is 32 lbs, 39 inches tall.

I don't think it's a big deal for a 2 yr old to have a bottle if it helps with the transition to sleep. To me it's not that much different than extended breastfeeding. The 23 month old is starting to gradually wean, and I'm so ready for it. I admit it. Big Grin

I'm still catching up. sb, I'm so sorry that your car was broken into and your purse was stolen. hug If there are any coupons I could possibly help replace, let me know.

I know you already identified the problem, but just in case anyone else ever runs into something like this. My DS was only about 3 weeks early. He and I never clicked on the breastfeeding and I pumped and he had breast milk from bottles. But it took him forever to drink the tiny little bottles you use with newborns. He would fall asleep trying. I was using these Playtex "like mother herself" nipples. When we took him for his first check up he had not gained weight. We told the doctor how slow he ate and he wanted to watch him take the bottle. He said the nipples were the problem, sliced it a litlle and Bryan drank faster and I switched to Nuks and my kid actually developed little fat rolls on his thighs. Of course then we worried about that, needlessly. But I never thought to try a different nipple. Advertising!!!!

My preemie had the same problem and the doctor sliced the nipple a little bit too. We changed nipples and it was so much better after that. Poor fella was burning more calories sucking than he was getting from the milk Sadwalk

My 4 year old just went for his annual (the day after his b-day) and was 39 1/2 inches tall and 34 1/2 lbs. I feel bad for him because I know he is going to be one of the smallest in his his class. It doesn't help that he will also be one of the youngest, cause his B-day is just before the cut-off for schools in our district. I Pray he doesn't get bullied.

THANKS to everyone for the responses on the bottle weaning issue. He cried for 25 minutes and then fell asleep. Hopefully it will get easier tonite!

Hi, I have a big favor to ask of you guys. The $1 bins had these really cool coca cola plates and little mini lunchbox tins. I didn't get them and now I regret it. They are out of it in my store and I really need them for a project. I need like 25 of each. If any of you still have it in your stores, can you purchase them for me in exchange for paypal funds/gc or whatever choice of $$ you want? I need 25 of the plates and 25 of the lunchboxes. Thanks. I can pm you my ebay ID so you can see my over 400positive feedback... I'm a cvs'er primarily - part time targetter.

if anyone can help me out, can you pm me?
I'm going tomorrow...were these red dot 75%off or just reg $$$

We started reg cups around 2 years old and he was pretty independent with it by 2.5. That said, I still give him a sippy or straw cup a lot because he has a tendency to knock cups over. (and mama cries over spilled milk :lolSmilie
I have learned to get over spilled milk as long as I don't have to deal with curdled milk caked in a sippy Big Grin

Amen to that. Nothing worse than opening a sippy that has been in the car all day because you forgot to get it out. vomit

I also saw when I took DS to the orthodontist last week some pics of kids who were on the bottle/pacifier/thumb too long. Not trying to scare you or make you feel bad at all. Just wanted to mention that these might be extreme cases, but there were tons of picture in an album he had. My baby is a thumb sucker so I know how hard breaking them can be.
Each child is very different and each parent has different opinions and approaches. Take the advice and think about and come up with a solution you feel comfortable with. Best wishes hug

OMG OMG OMG
Holy cowzers! I'm sure it's more than a full time, between pumping, prep'ing, feeding them, and washing bottles. You're doing double overtime Mommy duty! Congrats, and it sounds like you're doing a great job.
