This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

LMAO I know what you mean people ruin a good thing... I have been pm's about sizes... I have never seen these people post here...so how was everyone's target experience today? I started Christmas shopping today... yuck!! LOL

On a good note, my husband got home from the ER at 4am... he is OK, they believe it is a medication he is on causing other issues along with caffefine... so hopefully all will be ok Smilie

I tried on my sizes and they fit awesome today Smilie
Glad to hear he is okay. I have palpitations from time to time and mine are definitely related to caffiene intake.

Thanks, that was my plan but turns out that store is very slow on clearance. Left with bupkus.

This other mom at school said the Zhu Zhu pets have been oos at our TRU for weeks now. Of course that's what my kids have been clamoring for. Gah, and we saw every commercial toy at T today. Liv dolls and those paperoni whatever things (one kiddo really wants this, but I am totally opposed). I heard "buy!" "buy!" "buy!" sooooooo many times today. shesh.
Just saw my first commercial for those tonight.. They do look kinda cute. Thankfully my older kids are "too old" for it and my DD doesn't know about commercials yetLMAO

I was brave. I went over to the other side. Cold
At least there is a new thread started over there. I was over two weeks behind. Now I am 11 pages behind.

I hopefully can start looking for deals to share but time seems to be essence.
I didn't leave the house yesterday. But I have to today, working today.

I want to find some of those snapple coupons or some more Team Diet. I am like out of Mountain Dew. I have two 2 liters of Dew in the house. How long is that going to last?

Damn, someone already claimed this for their siggy! LMAO

I bought an Oreck about 10 years ago and love it! Way before my slickdealing days but QVC had a pretty good deal.

Darn, I need a new siggy as Matteo got a job.

Anything in there about the Hoover UH70040? I just bought that one 2 days ago but haven't opened it yet. They actually say on the box "Cleans better than a Dyson". Pretty gutsy, huh?
LOVE your siggy!! So spot-on!

You know, I woke up and started reading this morning and thought for a moment that I was in the deals thread. Hide
Then I read a little further and felt at home again heart.

Thanks for all the vaccum feedback.... Nice to narrow down the choices, let's see, Hoover, Electrolux, Dyson, Oreck EEK! . Would have gone and checked CR too but now that someone has posted their recommendations I might just cancel my subscription. WTF? I'm sure I've owned one or two of those models and I can tell you that none of them lasted more than a year. Mad I'll just have to start hoarding GCs again and save up for something. I'll decide "in-the-moment". I always make my best decisions that way.... Roll Eyes (Sarcastic).

My reply to the "coulda-been-epic" thread was something along the lines of how I was going to sue T for "just plain ignorance" for not selling me 235 trial size shampoos with family size shampoo coupons. I was going to ask for $500 plus court costs in small claims court. (anyone that read the Kmart doubles thread would have totally gotten that one!) Then I hit send and it told me the thread was deleted. laugh out loud

Question for anyone that uses a vaccum (Teehee). I need a new one. Not today, but soon. I seem to need a new one about once a year or so because they always "stop sucking". I need a sucker!!! One that sucks for a long, long time!!! Any suggestions? heart
the other side scares me Hide

I have a Dyson that I got from Amazon (pre-SD) as a refurb. Still works great and suckage is awesome. That didn't come out right. It sucks really good. hmmm, still not right Scratchchin

Thanks for the reminder...forgot about that. Plus the Free Ritz wyb Wheat Thins (or vice versa, don't remember) are an 01, so they will also beep
I've been using those Ritz/WT 01s at Kmart. The Tomato Basil is dh's fav and he polishes off a box in a snap...

Well, I've only had mine about 6 months, but my cleaning lady has had her's for years and still loves it (and yes, I do see the irony/idiocy in that statement) laugh out loud
Blush3 Mine is mostly used by my cleaning lady as well. She told me she prefers Dyson. Ask me again why I get excited over cleaning products? I'm not actually using them. Just using them as shelving in the closet for all the Glade.

May you all have and asshat-free Labor Day!!! woot

Some asshat has been pulling this at my Target and trying to get cartloads of trial sizes WITH overage and demanding their overage. Me thinks those farkers over in the deals thread have invaded my lovely store. The CS guy was telling me all about how one lady got irate when they tried to over-ride the 1.00 Qs for trialsized down to .99. She screamed at them that she was entitled to that .01. Idiots causing shenanigans. That's just the worst. Stupid lady doesn't realize what beepless damage is possible and never causing them to look twice at you. Some people are just too stupid-flaw in evolution I guess.

There's that entitlement word again. laugh out loud I'd love to know exactly what makes them think they are entitled to anything. Don't they realize how fortunate we are to have coupons, and stores that accept them? It could all go away at any given time, and then they will be entitled to pay full price.

I'm working on getting off my lazy butt and going to Target today, with another quick stop by Publix for greenworks and Tide...

When cashiers have told (*cough, cough* - complained) to me about other couponers, they always mention the people that come in and try to get a bunch of trial sized stuff with coupons. IME, that is one "red flag" that they look for - if your order has a lot of trial sized stuff and you are using coupons, you are going to get hassled. We all know that lots of the coupons say "off any size" but fighting that fight isn't worth it for me (at least not right now Evillaugh).

No, it's the 3.00 IP and the 2.00 FLIP, or the 2.00 greenwise and the 2.00 FLIP. Almost 3.00 overage using the 3.00 IP.

I just wasted a large part of my life in deals - left before I finished. Stress

Can I blame it on being sick. Will ya'll fergive me? I'll try not to go over to the dark side again...

Suggest you check Walgreens, if you have one. They had some small bottles marked down 75% at .87 each. Not a name brand, would likely have an orange tag if your store still has them.
Thank you!

I also think there are also many ignorant people who dont know its fraud to copy cpns..
I got my aunt into couponing. I neglected to mention that copying coupons was not acceptable - I guess I figured it was common sense and/or that everyone is geeky like me and reads all the terms on an item. Well, my MIL was telling me of the great deals my aunt was getting and I asked, "Oh, does she get to print lots of multiples at work?" My MIL says, "Oh, no - she just prints them and makes copies..." EEK!EEK!EEK! I said, "tell her to stop now!!!!" She was horrified when my MIL told her.

Quote from mofome :
Anyways, there was a nice big Target nearby with the nice new carts that someone mentioned before (all plastic). I decided to have my way at this store and all went perfectly! Except the Glade Fabric and Air Odor Eliminator is definitely not TPC here $3.84, I just got it for $2.49 yesterday at another store!
But once again TQs rang up the normal way. I may take the boys out to the closest Target tomorrow (the one with the issues) and try a mild run just to see what happens. I'll let you all know how it goes!
Just commenting on this because when I first read it, I read "I may take the boys out of the closet"... EEK!

Don't know about deals, but do know there was a q for $4 off Opti Free in a recent insert (maybe 2 weeks ago).
Thank you.

Stressing out tonight... we were out for quite awhile today @ Target and my husband has been having heart pulpations (sp) so we got home and he was going to go study (he is a Pharmacy student) and he went to school and called and told me he is going to the hospital as his pulpations are happening more frequently...
I hope it's no big deal. :hugs: My DH had palpatations really bad for a while before too. He had been increasing his caffeine intake between work and home, and once he laid off the caffeine - *poof* they stopped. He thought he was having a heart attack a couple times, it got so bad!

Quote from Devilmomma :
There is Opti Free on sale this week for $7
Thanks.

Quote from drozee78 :
laugh out loud laugh out loud totally sympathize. i think i purposely "lost" that set of coupons. we don't need any more chocolate in this house we are all fat enoughLMAO we're finally starting to lose some weight around here since i gave up cvs.
Well, if you ever need to lose some on purpose again... LOL!

Having the same problem.

No shopping today, I think. I just feel cruddy. Frown And to think, it would've been perfect cuz DH is home and could stay with the kiddos...
