I have an old Klipsch KC-25. Anyone know how different the Icon Series is from the regular Klipsch? The description says Icon series was developed for Best Buy and uses the same XT Tactrix horn technology as previous Icon speakers (which seems circular to me). I'm thinking about grabbing this RP-250C deal if the difference would be pretty noticeable.. I just got the RP280-F front speakers over holidays.

I would say Yes, the RP line is much better than the R line, in my experience. I think I still have an R-52C knocking around somewhere – Since upgrading to RP's for L/C/R, I've been much happier with my setup.

It's the most important speaker in a HT set up. If able, take a look at some 3-way centers. They are bigger and can cost a bit more. If budget, size constraints, or need makes a 3-way not possible then make sure you do your research on the different centers that go in and out of sale.

I've personally been waiting on the Infinity RC263 to come back into stock and go on sale but it's been over a year since that last happened.

Firstly I like the black, not cherry.
Yes I want to use 4 floorstanding, atmos built in possibly. Missed the Costco deal a heck of a deal to get 2 R-625FA...
I will use a Denon AVR-X4700H to drive them...

So far got none, because there were no sales...

Currently using Reference Theatre Pack 5.1 [klipsch.com]. Having trouble finding comparisons from that model to this and other Klipsch models - any idea where to find comparisons to RTP models?

Would this be a worthy upgrade, or wait out for RP-440C?

Same here. Spoke with a sales rep a few weeks ago and they said they're expecting a new shipment and hasn't been discontinued. they're hoping for Q1 2022 ... Could be anytime soon , or not for a while. TBD. It's been a year ...

That's great news. Thanks for that bud. I'll wait and see if they come in. Could be a while before they go on sale, but eventually I'm sure they will. So long as they get them. Everything I've read says they are terrific centers. I have the floor standers and they're excellent.

How does this compare to the Klipsch R-25C? I have the R-25C and it sounds significantly worse than my R-41 bookshelf speakers. Very dull sound with bad treble.
