Interesting that you can find this link just Googling for "usps covid tests" but the official government website [covidtests.gov] still says it is not available until tomorrow. Typical. Thanks and repped.

Yes. They are rapid tests, lateral flow tests, that are administered at home and results within 15 minutes.

Thanks!

I've ordered for a couple family members.

Side note: To get around the address lock, I put the apartment number in the first box and the street address in the second. This may or may not work for everyone.

Good luck. YMMV.

This is an ok start for free at home tests but 4 tests will not last so hopefully they will enable more kits like every week/month or something like that.

In California we were all sent free masks last year and they helped (they were adjustable and fit the adults and kids)
I never got free masks! Newsome gave 1B to China for masks that I never saw. That money could have been spent to source them in the US and support a US company.

yeah your flipping tax money being distributed back to you. "Free" is word everyone. It is Free. Free. Free.
Let's see...I pay taxes anyways. You think it is better to have to go to the store and BUY tests with money out of pocket PLUS still pay taxes, or better to get tests without money out of pocket and still pay taxes?

Do the math. Or, if you don't like it, don't order any. Simple.

People need to understand that the whole idea is, if someone is showing symptoms, get a quick home test. If positive, then get the family on the road for a "real" Covid test at one of the sites.

Free is more than free?
Neither are free. You will pay for both in taxes.
